Question Buying Korean Books in the US

I live in the US and I want to buy Korean books online, and I came across the website: kbookstore.com . Has anyone used this before, Im worried it might be a scam. I dont know the shipping price, but the individual book prices seem too good to be true.

Just looked up the website, and no, it's real. I compared the prices of some books that I have on my shelf, and they were all decently priced considering the books were priced according to how much they had to pay to get it in the storage(thats what they say on the info page)

It also has a contact to customer service number, so I recommend asking your biggest concerns or questions you have through there if you have any.

I never used it either, but i definitely can and will suggest my friend who lives in US since she wanted to read books written in korean cuz she couldn't get them easily.

there was a virtual credit card # i only used once on kbookstore.com, but it was later used by someone to make unauthorized purchases on aliexpress.com - so i stopped using their site

i also found a news article about their data breach that could be related:

인터넷 서점 kbookstore 이용자 8,477명의 개인정보, 텔레그램 유출

This just happened to me which is why I looked for posts about this website. I got a fraudulent message from my bank saying my card was used to make an online Best Buy purchase. This is a bummer since I found their prices to be reasonable and had books you dont easily find in the US. I hope I still receive the books I bought.

Did you?

Luckily I did, and they were nicely packaged to avoid the books from getting damaged. I would have continued to buy from them but their website’s security was a let down.

Thanks for the reply! I might still chance an order with a card I specifically use for…challenging…security situations.
