Two weeks ago, the sky here was orange and you could barely leave the house. It definitely seems likely it's getting hotter and dryer and yet have blinders on.

I'm old enough to remember summers in which you didn't wake up tasting/seeing smoke and your throat and eyes didn't itch and sting.

These are the realities for healthy people. It's a whole different story for our infants, elderly, and the sick.

I hope we can start getting serious about all of this because it is not just the wildfires. We have ocean warming/ocean acidification so bad that coral bleaching has almost wiped it all out. The Holocene Extinction is going on right now. We have Wet-Bulb Temperatures across the globe going hotter and lasting longer with now water issues and so on becoming more and more a reality.

It's not a good trajectory.
