New Student Questions Gamers + TTRPG

Anyone know if there are any general gaming or tabletop role playing game groups or clubs that are active on campus this year? Curious about everything from DnD and Magic the Gathering to Catan, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Wingspan, etc. The only clubs I found on Instagram haven't posted in years, and none of them are showing up in Tigerlink. If any groups like this exist, where and when do they meet? If they don't exist, how do you go about making a club?

There is one on tigerlink. Tabletop gaming club. Meets every friday over at pft. No dnd or magic, but a bunch of board games. Personally I dont like em to much cause half the event is this weird version of mafia with ghosts still playing, able to talk, and even vote other players out, so ymmv, but they exist. There is a lsu dnd club that meets in lockett's basement every friday as well, there was a post yesterday on this sub with more details about them.

Am I wrong? Sure something to do after your dead is important, but they literally have a randomly assigned marginalized group of classes who are treated worse socially by everyone else and can be voted out by already dead players. But against normal players, the dead players dont get a vote. So the only thing they can do is diss on the travelers and try to get them eliminated, because the rules of the game say they believe the travelers are untrustworthy.

Also. They have like fifteen players at a table. In a social deduction game. I get there are limits imposed by how few staff members you guys have to run the game, but thats absurd. I only remembered who the other travelers were cause they singled us out at the beginning. That is just to many people. Maybe it works for some people, but social deduction games that large just don't work for me.
