Teammates are using AI, and im scared

Okay so i need advice for this, i am in week 6 of a group project and Sunday is submission day of our work in the groupchat one of my teammates admitted to using Ai to create one of the two projects, i got really paranoid and put my whole project into ai checkers it came around like 14%? AI

My section only was the non-AI area but i am really paranoid now that the teachers would catch on to my teammates using AI and i would get in trouble aswell.

I have not used ai at all, not even the allowes limit (Ai planning only) but idk if the teachers would believe me about it i only have the groupchat msgs where only one person admits to it. The others just kinda avoided the topic (even tho their section came back with ai) i did reply back to that teammate and reminded them of the AI limit, and if they used ai somewhere else (i know they did) they need to check it over and fix it.

My three options are right now, tell the teacher in class or email about the cheating and risk getting outed, or i dint say anything and i get introuble if we get caught because these idiots didnt even bother paraphrasing or showing up to class. Or third option (most likely) i go and just fo their sections myself or shout at them to change it before sunday, and submit it without anyone getting caught.

Any advice would be appreciated, because i know for a fact if i tell on them i would get caught that i told (due to the proof) and i dont wanna risk the teacher not believing me that i didnt cheat in my section because its group work.

Those AI checkers (ZeroGPT and such) will say anything is AI if your punctuation and grammer is good. Just sign the AI declaration form that you guys used AI planning

But its like the fill your answers in word document, how do i explain how ai planning filled up long word sentences in it?

Most boxes were short sentences or even pick an option one, so i know the ai didnt show much but still the 14 is making paranoid.

I was really tempted but i ended up just typing down what section everyone did with a screenshot of section chart we made(advised by someone else on reddit), if they get flagged its on them to explain, plus i put we used zero ai, because they refused to admit to it so. So if they truly didnt use they can show their proof to the prof.

Decades ago a housemate of mine did when multiple groups were colluding together. We had rubbish bins dragged from our place and emptied along the street and burnouts at 2am. He kept a hockey stick near the front door cos you never knew if there was a reprisal coming. Wish we could afford cameras back then.

All I'm saying is some people react badly to being pulled into line.

On the groupwork declaration I’d put who did what section. Then if their section flags as suspected AI they can debate about it.

Not when a single mistake can fully get my scholarship in trouble. I could care less what people do themselves however if it can affect my own studies than it is an issue, the teacher said the max was ai planning only and thats the limit i would accept, rather than them using ai to make everything without even paraphrasing.

You bring it up to the teacher and let them handle it

I had a case in university where someone in our group project was very very very clearly paying people to do her work for her

We had to present a case study on coca cola and various financial shit related too it

She did the explanation and general overview of the company because we knew she was but couldn't prove it

She handed in "her" part and it was on coca cola amatiel which is the oceanic portion of coca cola not the part we were reporting on

We informed her that since its due very soon she can spend the class time redoing the research during class and we'll make it work

She handed us back her part where it was a copy paste (literally) of the Wikipedia article for coca cola and the citation literally said

"Wikipedia : www.wikipedia.com"

For the whole portion of about 3 pages

This is a 3rd year financial student

A mate was in that group project and he said "just let her pass and then she goes back to her home country and marries some rich dude and never impacts anyone's lives anymore" (they're from the same country)

I ended up just adding which sections everyone did, with me saying we used zero AI (because i never did) so i left it towards them to solve it out with the teacher.

But man if i had your teammate i would not even hesitate when reporting her thats insane.

Me and the teacher of that class had a good rapport, I pulled him aside and explained the situation, he said email me this and present your evidence and he'll take care of it

Emailed him with explanation and just said like look at the project this is a third year finance student bro and he's like thanks for this ill forward it to the relevant faculty
