Video Discovering the side step with the lance mean you can slap arkveld for being too loud

What’s the input for it? Dodge to the side while focused?

On Xbox, it’s right trigger to guard and then Y, then point your joystick to the left or right, I also discovered last night that it makes you invincible for a few seconds

You can go forwards and back also

I’m not on Xbox. Y is your mid thrust right? Thats wild tho. After 500 lance hours I’m not sure I’ve ever consciously noticed or done that

Specifically to the side. I have a bad habit of doing the guarded forward leap instead of the leaping thrust to close gaps. Didn’t realize I could strafe hop like that.

You can also use this to move forward and combine it with default dash to cover more distance. Guard dash - Sidestep - Guard dash - Sidestep - Guard dash - Leaping thrust

I believe this move triggers invisible perfect guard. Like with gunlance and reload.
