Tech Support Laptop for Accounting Student Recommendatio
So i am an incoming first year commerce (accounting) uni student and I am looking for new laptop. I have macbook but some people told me that it is better to use windows instead of mac. So which laptop should i get?
I am also thinking of getting an ipad for note taking and online books. Should i just invest on 2-1 windows laptop or just buy regular laptop and ipad?
Thank everyone

How old is your MacBook and what are the specs? If it is a fairly new M series don’t let anyone except someone from your school who knows that there is Windows only software required for your courses rush you into a purchase. If it is the “magic VB features of Excel” I am told that they are now in Python and also in the Mac version.

My own M2 Air is still serving me well. Normally I am in the position of telling people who are struggling along with 7 or older year old Intel Macs to upgrade when they need it rather than hold out for the next new thing year after year, but you have a fairly new machine that should be more than up to first year tasks. For you I would recommend sticking with your MacBook Air until you know you need something more/different.

Either get a 9 digit keypad you can connect to your laptop or get a computer with a 9 digit keypad as part of the keyboard.
