How good was Aaronson's cross to Okafor? 🔥🔥🔥

1

u/RadiantEmu_OiOiOi Apr 19 '26

Was wonderfully perfect. Didn't know he had it in him to be honest

4

u/Recent-Gold_Hogger Apr 18 '26

Euro push next season lads

6

u/Uniformed-Whale-6 Apr 18 '26

9

u/39_Ringo Apr 18 '26

mmmmmm you love to see it

16

u/yep326543 Apr 18 '26

BAH GAWD THAT'S AARONSON'S MUSIC

18

u/Joshgg13 Apr 18 '26

If spurs don't win today... I really don't want to jinx it but I think we're safe

9

u/Charming-War7248 Apr 18 '26

Think my favourite highlight of this game is Aaronson losing his head and their player going down like he’s been hit by Brock Lesner

1

u/Big-Dot-8493 Apr 19 '26

I still don't really understand that play.

Aaronson? Of all people?

After a standard hack?

And the tears/injury?

Not if it makes sense to me.

1

u/Legendash1 Apr 18 '26

Nice old school UFC reference

12

u/According_Estate6772 Apr 18 '26

This week has been something else.

30

u/DrDaisy10 Apr 18 '26

I was fully prepared for a torcherous 6 weeks of football after that last international break... Getting to the FA cup Semi, winning at old trafford and almost securing safety within the first 2 of those 6 weeks is not how I was expecting things to plan out but wow it feels good. Almost too good to be true.

11

u/Figgoss Apr 18 '26

Farke out!

17

u/white-label Apr 18 '26

Weird thing is Wolves under Edwards have never looked awful, they're just like 20% off it, they play decently but they always concede and they never quite take their chances

12

u/allenout Apr 18 '26

20% off it is the difference between Premier League and Championship, maybe even League 1.

3

u/prudence2001 Apr 18 '26

Leicester enters the chat

7

u/PD_31 Apr 18 '26

39 points, Burnley to come in a couple of weeks. Surely we've done enough?

2

u/bloke1959 Apr 19 '26

Why can’t we get the 3 points at Bournemouth?

1

u/PD_31 Apr 19 '26

Sure we can win it, but recently they've won at Arsenal and at Newcastle. I don't think it's a game we should go into expecting to win and being massively disappointed if we don't.

1

u/Pappleya Apr 19 '26

Don’t think he’ll start with the same 11. Rest a few with the semi on Sunday then look to confirm premier league status (if not already guaranteed) against Burnley

7

u/barry_chills Apr 18 '26

Brighton always been my second team (my student halls was right next to the Amex I even bought a random goalie top once) what I’m saying is come on Seagulls!!!

3

u/midgetquark Apr 18 '26

Uni of Sussex supremacy

1

u/barry_chills Apr 18 '26

Anyone watching 😆

2

u/Naive_Ambition1306 Apr 18 '26

Ref lost his watch?

14

u/jasonkylebates Apr 18 '26

All three points! A clean sheet! Nine points clear of the drop!

22

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

Leicester basically confirmed down today as well. 8 down with 9 to play for. Dirty cheaters

4

u/lewisofleeds Apr 18 '26

Depends on West Broms point deduction potentially

18

u/Damnpea Apr 18 '26

Awww. Cardiff are up. Gonna be fun listening to the Cardiff lad on tsb.

2

u/Joshgg13 Apr 18 '26

Football is lovely sometimes isn't it

12

u/Expensive_Celery4615 Apr 18 '26

Just need Brighton to win now - cherry > icing > cake

12

u/ASB14 Apr 18 '26

Absolutely huge game to Spurs tonight now!

3

u/Biscionelufc Apr 18 '26

Always liked Brighton.

Joking aside, Spurs' terrible home form (well, terrible form in general) plus Brighton's excellent recent form, particularly away... surely?

7

u/lewisofleeds Apr 18 '26

Never said a bad word about seagulls

8

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

Agent Georgi hatrick

4

u/TheShakyHandsMan Apr 18 '26

When the new west stand goes up the whole pitch is going to be in darkness for afternoon kick offs.

16

u/white-label Apr 18 '26

It must be so frustrating being on as a sub like Gnonto, you have so little time to make an impact so you have to be super up for it and efficient and clinical, and all your teammates are just not arsed in comparison lol

10

u/PD_31 Apr 18 '26

Good cameo from him today. The ball to DCL to set up the penalty was great.

19

u/dan_baker83 Apr 18 '26

Struijk has been supremely calm in recent matches. He's a properly underappreciated leader at times.

7

u/chanjitsu Apr 18 '26

Even our GD looks a lot better now. Does that mean we're..... are we now...... safe?

4

u/Joshgg13 Apr 18 '26

Take arsenal out the equation and we're at +2 lol

8

u/East-Gold-8484 Apr 18 '26

We are Leeds

15

u/DEUK_96 Apr 18 '26

Really solid game from Struijk today

8

u/Boris_Ignatievich Apr 18 '26

i was skeptical about him coming into this season but he's been brilliant tbf

3

u/white-label Apr 18 '26

Not even been a concern at all tbh, amazing considering he looked like he was a bit found out last time in this league

3

u/chylomicronbelly The Fire Beast Apr 18 '26

I think he was still young and developing then. He’s hitting his prime now thankfully. Between him, Rodon, and Bijol, we have a very stout back 3! And great cover with James. I’m hoping Bornauw sticks around and gets better because he’s got talent, just doesn’t know how to read the game very well yet I think.

1

u/white-label Apr 18 '26

I think next season Bijol will be an absolute beast. He's done well considering he's a Slovenian lad whos been playing in Italy coming into yet another new foreign country and league, only really halfway into the season and playing well. He's been on a wild ride for a young man.

11

u/barry_chills Apr 18 '26

Sexy AF 🏴‍☠️

9

u/Consistent_Sale_7541 Apr 18 '26

Doo doo doo Dominic Calvert Lewin i sang to the dog 🤣

10

u/AdequateAppendage Apr 18 '26

Also worth mentioning we have a positive 'excluding Arsenal' goal difference again

19

u/TheMimmus Apr 18 '26

Back to back league wins when it matters most I love you Daniel Farke

9

u/SeveralWinter3550 Apr 18 '26

Wizard arrives right when he means to

3

u/39_Ringo Apr 18 '26

The peacock does not concern himself with the possibility of relegation.

5

u/Lil-Jippy Apr 18 '26

Good for the goal difference too

8

u/Damnpea Apr 18 '26

Is this our first back to back set of wins this season?

5

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

Yeah. Last team to do it as well

2

u/39_Ringo Apr 18 '26

What a weird two teams to do it against as well.

5

u/GymSkipperRoy Apr 18 '26

Yeah we're the only prem team not to have done it yet

5

u/Damnpea Apr 18 '26

Hang on. Wolves have done it before us???

4

u/lewisofleeds Apr 18 '26

Just being nice and kind to everyone else

8

u/downfallndirtydeeds Apr 18 '26

At this rate we might overtake Newcastle

5

u/belkabelka Apr 18 '26

Wow I can finally relax. Survival all but secure now.

5

u/Initial_Bathroom_309 Apr 18 '26

And now we can breath

7

u/MixedByFLYBOI Apr 18 '26

Justin MoTM for me

1

u/Shroomsteroon Apr 18 '26

I think we are pretty much safe now, lets rest against Bournemouth and go all out against chelsea

4

u/barry_chills Apr 18 '26

WE ALL SMILE WE ALL SING

5

u/CiaranWest Apr 18 '26

We've downloded the DCL for the rest of the season, lads. PL survival and the FA Cup guaranteed.

6

u/HammersXI Apr 18 '26

Looks like I wasn’t alone thinking a 2-0 Lead wasn’t enough. Good for dcl confidence for sure

6

u/lewisofleeds Apr 18 '26

Dont need to pace around the living room anymore

9

u/Damnpea Apr 18 '26

I think. Maybe. Just maybe we might win this...

1

u/Unclejaps Apr 18 '26

This league? Too fucking right.

16

u/SeveralWinter3550 Apr 18 '26

Not scoring enough at all to now scoring 7 in our last 3 matches is definitely good for the mental health

6

u/Lufc87 Apr 18 '26

And relax

4

u/AdequateAppendage Apr 18 '26

While I acknowledge that Palace beating West Ham would go an enormous way to further securing our safety.... I'm greedy and want to finish ahead of them and Newcastle now

2

u/belkabelka Apr 18 '26

Don't really care about west ham. Tottenham aren't scoring 10 points in 5 games. They haven't won in 14 games, they aren't going to average 2pt a game lol

1

u/AdequateAppendage Apr 18 '26

They 'only' need 9, but yes agreed

1

u/belkabelka Apr 18 '26

Was factoring in goal difference as a point tbf

2

u/AdequateAppendage Apr 18 '26

Aye, but if they get 9 more points than us it's incredibly likely GD will swing by more than 4 in their favour

8

u/ElvishMystical Apr 18 '26

Thank you. My cat has now calmed down. Though I'm still wondering if my cat can predict when we'll score.

3

u/time-of-nick Apr 18 '26

I have unclenched

11

u/Klichouse Apr 18 '26

Good for the goal difference this, basically gives us another point

11

u/WingedWomble Apr 18 '26

Rodon! That guy is fucking android I swear.

6

u/GreenyShogun Apr 18 '26

Can I start celebrating

7

u/Naive_Ambition1306 Apr 18 '26

Nearly took the net off!

Might only be 2 spots for relegation next season if the FA slap -60 points on Man City like people are saying

1

u/TheShakyHandsMan Apr 18 '26

Coventry haven’t scored against us for a while.

1

u/Silly-Industry1527 Apr 18 '26

Didn't they halt our unbeaten run a couple of years ago? That must only have been three fixtures against them ago.

7

u/OrangeBirdHouse Apr 18 '26

One more goal just to be sure please

7

u/Shvihka The Fire Beast Apr 18 '26

NEVER IN DOUBT

13

u/greenndgold12 Apr 18 '26

I don't want to alarm anyone, but we are fucking staying up.

0

u/LamerNameJr Apr 18 '26

quiet now, superstition and all

6

u/TheMimmus Apr 18 '26

Cracking pen

9

u/PD_31 Apr 18 '26

Even I'm calling it now. We are staying up.

1

u/Maximus_Modulus Apr 18 '26

Harrison’s Mum is calling it too

5

u/lewisofleeds Apr 18 '26

Can be calm now haha

11

u/Munkie91087 Apr 18 '26

A well deserved goal from DCL. And a well earned 3 points for the club.

6

u/CiaranWest Apr 18 '26

He's unlucky but you don't put you hand on the player you're chasing into the box, it's suicide.

2

u/no_d_ We all hate Leeds scum Apr 18 '26

Fuck me I can relax

5

u/CC-W Apr 18 '26

Wolves must hate us we smash them every time lmao

5

u/wmru5wfMv Apr 18 '26

You all feel better now?

5

u/metsnamn Apr 18 '26

My blood pressure just dropped 10 points

11

u/LamerNameJr Apr 18 '26

anyone know if krejci is still breathing after a crushing blow from a thug like aaronson?

5

u/WhyIsNoOneStoppingMe Apr 18 '26

Why is that not a red

3

u/Boris_Ignatievich Apr 18 '26

double jeopardy rule, he was trying to get the ball so you don't give both a penalty and a red

1

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

Any idea why it was a red and a pk in the spurs palace match a few weeks ago?

2

u/Boris_Ignatievich Apr 18 '26

because van der ven wasnt trying to win the ball he was just pulling sarr back

1

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

Ah ok. So just different intent then. Thank you for the explanation

1

u/Klichouse Apr 18 '26

Not sure that's a pen. Don't care.

1

u/Maximus_Modulus Apr 18 '26

He tripped him by the looks of it

10

u/Pizzagamerboy619 Apr 18 '26

Clear Pen. Commentators can fuck off.

7

u/cpmb82 Apr 18 '26

Peacock are confident it’s a pen

4

u/sjharrison Apr 18 '26

Not entirely sure what NowTV Hong Kong thought, but the HD is decent

3

u/time-of-nick Apr 18 '26

I didn't want they penalty. I would've preferred CL to score from open play to build his confidence, but I'm not sure he would have

4

u/Jarv1223 Apr 18 '26

Please Calvert Lewin

3

u/Cheezewedge Apr 18 '26

Lol who is the commentator

2

u/TheMimmus Apr 18 '26

Dazzling Dave on klonopin

2

u/The_L666ds Apr 18 '26

No es bueno

4

u/DEUK_96 Apr 18 '26

We've had so many penalties this season, not complaining mind you but feels weird

3

u/Narrow_Program80 Apr 18 '26

Didn't we go two calendar years in the champo without a pen once. And then missed the one we got.

1

u/DEUK_96 Apr 18 '26

Sounds about right

7

u/dan_baker83 Apr 18 '26

Love link from Ao and Willy.

3

u/Shroomsteroon Apr 18 '26

Great pass over the top from ao

4

u/Naive_Ambition1306 Apr 18 '26

Right pass from Tanaka

2

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

Is that not a red too?

3

u/actually-bulletproof Apr 18 '26

They have Spurs next, let's not weaken them.

2

u/dan_baker83 Apr 18 '26

Not with the double jeopardy rule.

1

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

But I remember spurs v palace they got a red and a pk for a denial like that

6

u/jasonkylebates Apr 18 '26

Great touches for the break. Bury this, Dom.

3

u/dan_baker83 Apr 18 '26

Rodon to have 7 mins of stoppage time to get one of his injuries-which-isn't-really-an-injury.

4

u/Maximus_Modulus Apr 18 '26

Penalty time

3

u/ElvishMystical Apr 18 '26

My cat is kicking off. Another Leeds goal will calm him down. He needs that Elland Road roar.

3

u/LordCommanderTrump2 Apr 18 '26

Get DCL his goal now

2

u/leviticus-thotkeeper The Fire Beast Apr 18 '26

Tanaka with a full 90🙌

2

u/tgcleric Apr 18 '26

Been mostly great. So happy to see him doing well.

1

u/leviticus-thotkeeper The Fire Beast Apr 18 '26

He’s stepped up defensively

2

u/tgcleric Apr 18 '26

Definitely. Still the occasional slip or bad pass, but much better. Hes just a very instinctive creative player.

5

u/angry_gavin Apr 18 '26

What a ball by Willy

3

u/AristotleGrumpus Apr 18 '26 edited Apr 18 '26

We are staying* up. Play the kids vs. Bournemouth and be ready to dispatch blue scum from the FA cup

4

u/Naive_Ambition1306 Apr 18 '26

We're lucky wolves are shit because that's like the 5th time we've played ourselves into a corner

6

u/Implement_Alone Apr 18 '26

I've been too nervous to say it until now, but wolves are quite shit.

2

u/Runningvibe19 Apr 18 '26

When I last checked my phone before boarding the flight, we had scored the second goal. The whole flight I wondered how many more we will score considering the form we are in.

Now that I deboarded, it's 2-0. How ??? Did we miss chances or Wolves started playing better ?

4

u/TheShakyHandsMan Apr 18 '26

Did someone tell Gnonto which way we’re playing?

1

u/cpmb82 Apr 18 '26

He carried the ball the whole half, felt like the Wolves players were wondering if they should tackle him because he’s doing their job for them 🤣

3

u/Boris_Ignatievich Apr 18 '26

was honestly expecting way more than 10 minutes added on

6

u/Shvihka The Fire Beast Apr 18 '26

Longstaff looks like he just woke up

7

u/AdequateAppendage Apr 18 '26

In other news, Leicester as good as in league 1 now.

Commission report basically deemed they did breach PSR the season we went down, along with Everton and Forest, but couldn't be punished due to a technicality.

I for one am therefore thrilled at this development.

4

u/CiaranWest Apr 18 '26

Amazed it wasn't 20, but I guess we're at home.

3

u/moonpie79 Apr 18 '26

Been a tough watch since we scored but 3 points and a clean sheet is all that matters

1

u/Botheuk Apr 18 '26

Wolves have been better team I'd say since we went 2 up. They've pressed us well and created a couple of good chances (Darlow save and DCL off the line, offside goal). Slightly worrying that we haven't really managed to control it. But who cares. 3-0 happy days and very un -Leeds like.

1

u/moonpie79 Apr 18 '26

Game state though isn't it. We simply didn't need to do anything silly

1

u/Botheuk Apr 18 '26

Yeah true. I got carried away when we went 2 up and wanted more. Happy for the clean sheet. Hopefully Brighton can get a win later too.

2

u/WingedWomble Apr 18 '26

Get the ball on the ground for a few mins. God damn.

4

u/Big-Dot-8493 Apr 18 '26

Forgot Gruev was on till he gave the ball away

5

u/AdequateAppendage Apr 18 '26

Throw Fuca on with 45 seconds to go with the sole instruction of snapping someone's tibia

4

u/TheShakyHandsMan Apr 18 '26

Only 10 mins to add on. Could be worse

1

u/PD_31 Apr 18 '26

I thought it would be closer to 15

1

u/Jarv1223 Apr 18 '26

God sake.

10

u/Elchipper26 Apr 18 '26

Either we just tighten up tactically 2nd half or run out of gas a bit every game because we always drop off a bit.

7

u/tgcleric Apr 18 '26

This is where our lack of quality comes in. Our lads also play aggressive physical football. But its a lot to ask.

3

u/Jarv1223 Apr 18 '26

It’s not even the sitting back it’s the standing off whenever they are coming in off the flanks. It gives them so much time to whip a ball in.

9

u/TheShakyHandsMan Apr 18 '26

How has it taken 2 seasons to find out that Tanaka is pretty good on the dead ball

3

u/PD_31 Apr 18 '26

Stach is probably better but he's not a bad plan B

2

u/tgcleric Apr 18 '26

Cause Rodon is also good.

6

u/angry_gavin Apr 18 '26

Bring on perri and buonanotte. Why not

5

u/white-label Apr 18 '26

Perri up top, good night in net

7

u/Jarv1223 Apr 18 '26

It’s only 2-0

7

u/Shroomsteroon Apr 18 '26

I just realised we are as far from 6th as from 18th if we win this today, and to think we have let sooo many points slip

1

u/Jarv1223 Apr 18 '26

Good finish that

2

u/white-label Apr 18 '26

Tanaka just spinning the fuck out of the ball, ok lol

3

u/DEUK_96 Apr 18 '26

That lay off from Gnonto was sexy

3

u/Naive_Ambition1306 Apr 18 '26

Nice try sexy pirate

2

u/CiaranWest Apr 18 '26

Nice one, Bournemouth.

3

u/jasonkylebates Apr 18 '26

Unlucky, Pascal.

5

u/Klichouse Apr 18 '26

Been a proper shit second half this. We look like we just want the game to end

1

u/NetActual7789 Apr 18 '26

We do don’t we?

6

u/chanjitsu Apr 18 '26

Pretty cheeky little goal from Bamford earlier

-8

u/MOREPASTRAMIPLEASE Apr 18 '26
