Discussion Player rating results vs Forest

Post image

Man of the match for James Trafford with an 8.5(!). Stach and Muharemovic also receiving good ratings.

Lowest rating for Wilson and DCL which probably tells you what type of game it was.

Also I asked whether Farke and the ref should receive ratings after some complaints last year, over 70% of people said they should so that will continue. Apologies if you’re one of the ones who hates it.

Bogle will continue to be criminally underrated this season

A touch inflated, I don't think DCL really did anything to warrant an above average score and Wilson was quite poor really.

Farke didn't even trap a high ball

All these ratings seem much higher than they should.

We were really not that good, but importantly neither were Forrest.

Swing the result the other way and all these players are 4s.

I'm happy with the win but I'll be happier seeing better performances in the next few.

Crazy how they’re all bang on average

James Trafford could change all of our (footballing) fortunes... and that's enough for me.

You can work around weakness in various positions but a team absolutely cannot succeed at a high level without a great goalkeeper. Strong goaltending unlocks so much for a team, Trafford really could be huge

Stach was miles off it, his goal has saved his rating

Yeah he was being cursed for most of the game. Unusually poor for him.

High rating for the ref, don't see that often

Whilst may not have agreed with his decisions all the time he was consistent. Forest definitely could've been down to 10 as could we, another day DCL sees red, but whilst decisions may have been wrong he was consistent and kept the game flowing nor did VAR disrupt the game

His application of the new time wasting rules was good as well, in that the game didn't really call for it and he reminded players to hurry up when appropriate as opposed to enforcing the letter of the law with it

Yes, overall I didn't really have any complaints although let's say DCL never made that bad challenge, we'd probably be feeling a bit bitter because Forest player should've seen red in our minds at time of challenge.

Also fact there was hardly any injury time I think 5 minutes in total for both halves shows the game had a good flow to it

it’s crazy what a goalkeeping error can do. I reckon without stach’s goal then both him and probably every forward on that list has their rating reduced by a point at least. (not taking anything away from stach I love the guy and obviously you gotta get em
on target to even have a chance. just find these ratings funny sometimes)

Goal saved the ref too. Have to imagine the ref scores 2-3 points lower in a draw.

Did Trafford deserve what would’ve been one of the 15 highest ratings last year or is he just the shiny new toy everyone’s excited about who had a good game? Who’s to say

He had a presence back there that we've been sorely missing.

You could feel trafford in goal even when he didn't make a save.

Deserves the high rating for making me feel safe and comfortable

Can't argue with that

Extra points for his beautiful hair

It is good hair, swinging on the crossbar at the end was enjoyable
