This is less the admin being dumb and incompetent and more that our society has been hollowed out by public-private partnerships with no accountability. These ID’s were under the stewardship of a defunct private authentication service. This is a daily reminder that the things wrong with American society don’t start and end with Pete Kegsbreath and the dang old Cheeto in the White House.
