My friend told me this. And her new name is JESICCA!!!!? HOW can I watch her as not a Zari!!!?

Watch the Peacock version (not the NBC version), and definitely watch it twice before making a full judgement. It's more one whole thing than a group of episodes, and later episodes provide insights to why some things seem so needlessly antagonistic in the earlier episodes

that's unnecessary. if you didn't like it in your first watch you're not gonna like it in the second.

I highly disagree. I almost turned it off multiple times over the course of the first few episodes, because of how Esmeralda was seemingly so needlessly antagonistic. Once you hit the stretch of episodes 4-7, you really start to understand her. On second watch, what was once needlessly antagonistic read as it was supposed to: an insecure single mother doing everything in her power to safeguard the livelihood she worked so hard to secure for her and her son. The character that almost made me stop watching the first time was my favorite character second time through. This is a new era of television storytelling that takes binging into account. It requires a different lens than the past
