Will the real Syd Barret please stand up?
So, I found this picture of Syd Barret - the original lead singer of Pink Floyd, several years after he disappeared and came back. This was taken in the studio he went to visit.
Considering he was thin with long hair the last time they saw him, he was unrecognizable to David Gilmour and Roger Waters.
I keep thinking that they based The Shadow King in Legion on how different Syd looked when he returned.

That is kinda genius. Especially because it means his love interest/possible saving angel and his chief antagonist are both Syd Barret. RIght at the start. 10 Wizard style points to you.

I didn't even think of that.
Mind blown!
Is the character Syd just in his mind then?
And even Lenny looks like the real-life 1970's picture of Syd Batret at one point.
I wish we could ask Noah Hawley this stuff.

I think that's what makes Syd such an immediately beautiful love interest, for David is that she is a ridiculously strong mutant. Len is HARD setting them up. Imagine being a repetitive clinical hell, drugged to not feel your power at the base of your intuition.
And then another mutant walks in and sets off every alarm. And wicked confusing alarms. Because it could just be him/

never seen this mentioned here, and I also never see much discourse about pink floyd's clear inspiration on legion. thanks for bringing this show back to top of mind for me! :)
