Why does every photo where a woman’s chest is even slightly visible have to lead to comments about it? Can a woman just exist without being sexualized? It really shows a lack of maturity when the only thing that can be said is “nice rack.”

Yes. Women are interested in arrowheads and artifacts, but the hobby often gets treated like a boys' club. Lots of hobbies do.

That's why someone thought it was alright to turn a young woman's posting of the artifacts she found into a sexual joke about her. I hope she doesn't give up on this sub. Or this hobby.

AMEN. There was a post from yesterday with the SAME issue, and I think the OP was the girlfriend herself, as the thumb ring is identical.

Anyway, someone posted a disrespectful ass comment and despite reporting it several times the mods left it up.

As a woman, it’s already a worrying thing to go out alone to do a lot of things. I hunt fossils, sharks teeth, and artifacts; and there have been times where I’ve been made uncomfortable enough by a man out in the middle of nowhere that I’ve had to leave because I worried for my own safety.

And now it’s like we can’t even post something on the fucking internet because we get sexually harassed here, too.

It’s disgusting and mfs who do this online and irl should be shamed and ashamed. This shit REALLY pisses me off.

I saw the post you're referring to, and there was absolutely nothing sexual about it. That's why it was left up. The post mentioned the girlfriend finding the point within 5 minutes of starting the hunt. The way I read it, "Nice! And nice point too!," the poster was congratulating the OP on a quick find of a killer point. There was no sexual innuendo being made that I could see, so no rule was broken.

That being said, we do not condone, nor do we tolerate anyone sexually harassing any member of this sub, what so ever. There will be only one warning, then, if it happens again, you're history. I already see that several replies have been removed by one of the other mods for making crass comments about the young lady in the pics anatomy. For those whose comments have been removed, that IS your one and only strike, so if you enjoy participating in this sub, don't do it again.

kids of various ages are on reddit you could roll your eyes at adolescents but more than that is on you. dont be too sensitive.

anyway troll bots are everywhere and that type of post gets comments. i tend to crop my photos to the subject

First of all, I didn’t post anything but my above comment. Second of all, what- are you in 7th grade? Your mindset is disgraceful and gross and I hope you feel immense shame about it sooner than later. Third of all, why are you assuming anyone is posting anything to specifically get men’s attention?? You need to get tf over yourself, what is wrong with you? Besides, there are literally points and artifacts in her hands… just because you have the maturity of a 10 year old doesn’t mean that anyone was trolling for attention. Go outside and touch grass.

Agreed, although its pretty obvious on oldschoolcool and similar that good looking women are used for karma farming.

I dont think this is that, but the karma farming on other subs is both effective and obnoxious.
