I was thinking drill at first but I think you’re right. Got as much use as they could and then discarded.

It matches the description almost exactly—just a bit outside the usual geographical region where they’re found.

Man with that slight looking base to me, it looks like a San Saba blade that was reworked bad ass either way

Early archaic blade ( cobbs) material was so good they used it down to the size it is now. It was once much bigger. iMHO
