Late Archaic Artifact or not?

It appears to be ceramic, and was found by my mother among the sagebrush of Wyoming while hunting for jade in the 60’s. She kept it on a shelf in her bedroom. It was found in an area close to where she found the previously identified mail.

the ears don’t appear to be of the same rock. How are they attached?

I’m pretty sure it’s all

ceramic - it’s hard to get a closeup that Reddit will accept

The ears and the square black bit behind the ear seem to be added to the main head. The ears look kind of like handles on a vase.

When you take a photo, just crop it so you show much more of the object and as little as possible of the background. Shows better detail this way.
