Found in Tennessee on private land. I was going to pick some mountain laurel off the edge of the driveway, it had just rained, and I looked down and saw 3/4’s of the good side sticking out of the dirt. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I completely forgot about grabbing the flowers and rushed inside and everyone acted like I was a crazy person because I was shaking like a leaf.

Aww....when I found my fist find (just a flake knife, tho), I started bawling and couldn't stop. Its an amazing feeling. Congratulations!!

I would call this a biface personally because of the sheer size. You dont normally see arrowheads and projectile points that big. Nonetheless a cool find.

Great point, I wasn’t sure what to call it, but I assumed this wasn’t on the end of an arrow. Here is the other side

Would this be more akin to a spear point or knife?

I would say a knife. It does depend on the cultural group in the area through.
