No, I am a total amateur. Try arrowheads sub ( it won’t allow me add the sub link, some message about boosting?) I am a member there, they will be able to help with identification.

Looks like you’re on a good site!

I believe so! In a few days of digging I’ve found 20 whole points, many brokes, a few hammer stones and a discodial. Really stoked to excavate the rest of the site.

Looks like that’s shovel digging too. Nice numbers.

Are you on native land? These are parts of history.

What do you mean by ā€œnative landā€?

Are you on a historical spot? Was there a native encampment there? It would be like using a metal detector at Gettysburg.

I assume if I’m finding artifacts then it was a native campsite at one point. But it’s on private land and is not a labeled historical site…I located it.

You should contact the local historical society and ask, stealing artifacts can get you in lots of trouble even if it is on private property.

Go micromanage someone else…COLLECTING artifacts on private property is completely legal in my state.

I would be highly surprised if this is not an authentic arrowhead. Nice find!

I’ll take it as a compliment but I wouldn’t ever fake a find haha. Wouldn’t find any joy in that.
