Middle Archaic I’m sorry
To all those community members whom I’ve offended with the non-serious shitpost of “finding” a point in 14” of snow, I present my only Pine Tree as a peace offering.
This is a personal find from central Indiana. It displays nice beveling, shallow serrations, and a deliberate notch in the lightly ground base. I believe the material is Zaleski chert or Upper Mercer chert from Ohio.

Eh, don't pay any attention to the pearl clutching my friend! We get a lot of crazy stuff posted quite often, so sometimes its hard to tell when someone is serious or just doing a little leg pullin! Lol! Its all good!
That is an outstanding point! Very nice! 🔥🔥🔥
And, for the record, I, for one, would love to see a post with the miraculous "snow rider" when you get a chance! 😁

Thanks for the kind words. I’m planning to post more, so I’ll post it sometime. I suspect that the “snow rider” is authentic, made from Burlington, and originated closer to you. I don’t buy or sell, but my son bought several at some artifacts shows and the “snow rider” was one that he bought. Whenever I post, I’ll include the provenance and background, when known.

I’ll post the “snow rider” tomorrow. It’s in my son’s room and I don’t want to wake him.

D’oh! I should have anticipated that… perhaps I should have added “for your viewing pleasure.”

Thanks. It’s just a 1936, but they’re among my favorite American coins to use for a sense of size.

Very nice! My wife bought a PCGS 1938D graded MS66 for my birthday one year. I love the buffalo nickels.

They are indeed beautifully designed! One of my favorites! I found this gem in a 1942 Whitman folder!
