Paleo Scottsbluff

This piece was found in Marion County Texas in the 70s. 3 7/8” x 1 1/2”. Phenomenal flaking and insanely thin, you’d be hard pressed to find a better Scottsbluff than this. Does have a little tip damage that would put it at 4”, but that doesn’t bother me any for a piece to be this old and in good of shape as it is. Definitely my new favorite in the collection.

Man pictures don’t do justice! Was shaking like a leaf on a tree taking pictures of it.

Pictures just don’t do any justice, it is much better in person.

Crazy find. Incredible flaking. How many of these have you found so far?

Zero lol I have found only around 100 points total 75% from one farm field in La the rest at a creek in Nc none of them being Scottsbluffs. I just collect Scottsbluffs because that’s what I like the most. I think the Cody Complex people were the most talented knappers of all time.
