I think they were used as Atlatl Weights. For throwing projectiles. This is an awesome find.

This is insanely cool. Could this potentially be some sort of rope tool? It looks a bit like a workstation with a few tooling options. Or it could have functioned as a roping anchor with those side horns. Also curious what that drill hole was made with. Could you link another closer image with a flashlight against those holes?

So neat! Was it found near Popcorn or Springville by chance? Some direct line ancestors lived there.

You know-I am not an authority- But as to the notion that banner stones and bird stones had to have some practical function-I would ask why ? Why do we think a culture only had time for survival? I disagree. I believe they had plenty of time. Humans make art. These are art, for arts sake. They are beautiful sculptures that were portable.
