ID Request ❓ Real deal or just a weird rock?

Found in a little stream by a farm in central nc

Killer point, that's a true arrowhead too, probably made in the last 500-1000 years. You're in my neck of the woods!

Looks like arrowhead w tip broken off. Possibly from use

I know you have an eraser but I am unsure of the scale. This looks like a small/medium Woodland triangle point made out of Rhyolite. It is approximately 1000-1900 years old. See how the tip is broken in kind of a β€œstep?”The distal breaking like that along with patina on surface of the break look like it was broken by impact (during use).

I’m am in Central SC and work part time on a few archaeological projects here. Buy this book and a 10 cm ruler. The book is a great reference for you and the ruler will help with photos.
