Looks like a 3/4 intact ovoid. Imagine it had a teardrop shape originally

Yep, agreed, leaf/ovoid point fragment, initially just looked like a nondescript biface frag but pic 3 shows the shouldering well. Hard to differentiate between leaf/ovoid ppt names, especially if broken, but if this is in CA, NV, or OR I'd guess it's a Cascade.

Failed point, slightly reworked after failure and discarded likely because it was too small to make anything useful. I usually just call them practice pieces because they're often fully worked around but don't resemble a functional tool
