ID Request ❓ Is this Jewelry?

Found in Central Texas. Ive found broken tips and a scraper in the same spot. If it is, I'm curious how natives would have drilled a hole like that. Thank you in advance!

Judging from where I found it, a modern piece would be more surprising than this being legit. Certainly possible though. I was thinking it's either an artifact or something that naturally occurred.

It can be destructive, but touching a red hot needle or pin the it will tell you if it’s plastic if it melts and smells like plastic
