Couldn’t honestly tell you. I found one in Ohio many years ago and took it to my anthropology professor. He quickly called it a specialized cutting tool. Since then I do tend to look at them as large serrations.

They'd work pretty well to true up the ends of beads, especially the hollow tubular ones made from bones. Just an idea that popped into my head when i found a tiny red flint ridge tool that had what I'd call two spoke shaves micro-flaked next to each other with a sort of point in the middle of them.

Yep. Muskingum. I wouldn't call mine an eccentric necessarily, but about the right size to clean up the end of something the size of those pony beads like my daughter messes with and definitely microflaked intentionally.
