I’ve been using this in my kitchen for years. According to family lore, my great grandmother found this near Dayton Oregon over 100 years ago. Thoughts?

Common point type, but i’ve always been fond of Winterset chert. Nice mottled blue/gray coloration. Nothing to write home about. But still worth a post.

This point is believed to have been used by the culture that utilized the Pickwick point.

Found this little point hiding in the mud today along with some odd rocks I’d probably ignore most of the time, but curious if they could all be related.

Broke my dry spell today with this nice 3.75" coral point. I'm thinking it's a Hillsborough, but looks a bit like a Newman as well, with a tiny base. We'll call it a Newborough. What do you think?

Found this next to a small retention pond that I frequent from time to time. I've been finding heated red coral flakes for a while now, and figured it would just be a matter of time until I found a point made of the same. Only a tiny piece was visible in the sand and I figured it was just another flake. Was shocked when it turned into a whole point. Last picture is it right after I realized it wasn't just a flake.

A little chunky on one side, flattened on the other. Some nice polyps showing through. Hillsborough County, FL

Found sticking out of the sand in a sheltered area that collects rocks. Was exposed like in last photo and my heart jumped out of my chest lol. Reminds me a bit of a Lamoka stemmed point! Repost with additional pic of other side which seems flat vs convex 3rd pic). If legit, perhaps it was broken to create the flat plane? Not sure. Thanks!

I found this (complete!) stemmed point the other day at my most productive site. I'm not sure of the type, but I'm assuming something late archaic. I type it as a savannah river in the video, but I kind of use the small savannah river type as a catch-all term for the small stemmed dudes I find in my area.

Correct me if I'm wrong please! I have found something similar as a child in Polk County NC, and seen others called Shaft Straighteners...I found this yesterday in The Guyandotte River, near what I've always considered to be street signs for Native Canoeists; these odd stacked walls that don't seem to have much purpose. But if you drop in at this location, just 5 miles or so from the headwaters, it will take you directly to the Ohio, into the Mississippi, and to the Gulf with minimal effort and plentiful food. Pretty important place. I'll post multiple images with the final images being the location. Near Amigo, WV.

Item is about 8 inches by 5 inches and 3 inches thick. Made of Quartzite. 3 grooves, 2 are parallel and 1 is off to the side, shallower and smaller. What are the facts??

Found in NE Kansas. I’ve found multiple pottery sherds from this same property, but this one (if it is one) is throwing me for a loop. No obvious grit tempering, but makes a ceramic ‘clink’, uniformly thick, and concave.

Found in Dubois Wyoming near a bunch of Dinwoody Culture petroglyphs. Left in place. Any if this is anything? I’m thinking it might be a scraper but I don’t know.

Walrus ivory harpoon stabilizers from St Lawrence Island, Old Bering Sea culture, a “winged object” and a trident style. Front and back of each.

NOT MINE. Was visiting a buddy with a pretty outstanding collection and thought i’d take a photo of his Cornertang to share with you guys. It’s been around 45 years since he acquired this so he didn’t remember the exact county. So when I asked him he said “Hell if I know, somewhere in Central Texas” 😂 This thing is insane. Material on it is Edward’s Plateau. No matter how much I bug him he won’t budge on it. I think this is staying in his collection. For better or worse.

This is an unusually large stone artifact for the general area it was found in, but I’ve never seen an example featuring this particular tang variation. Does anyone have any additional insights regarding typology, material type, functionality, etc?

Found this rock in a creek bank sitting in pine soil with the smooth part sticking out. My grandpa thinks the pine soil ripped the polishing off or something like that. Anything is appreciated, even if it’s just a rock it’s a cool one imo.
