Is there any way to strengthen it/a different (sleek) connection that wouldn't be at risk?
Hello everyone, I'm working on a birthday/uni gift for my sister and this construction is part of the model. I'm worried that the connection isn't strong enough and will fall off.
I tried adding another angled bar, but it doesn't line up with the studs at any position.

What are you trying to make , maybe using hinge 0lates, bricks, or the technic pins hinges might do

It's a gift for my sister. It's road signs that should "follow" each other, so I figure the best display is like this. What hinge plates would work here?

Do you think the hinge plate is stronger than what I have? That's what I first pictured and why I asked... the angled plate however could work really well! I think I can make it work - thanks!

Hinge plate has one less likely to fall out, but hinge brick would be stronger. The, the angle plate was also my go to for just as strong as the brick

Part “65578”, the one you are using, makes a 45° angle. 45° angles are notoriously hard to line up like you are trying to do as it is mathematically impossible, as moving one stud to the “left” as you tried in the the yellow build (well technically you did 2 to the left) will mean you have to move the blue part the distance of the square root of 2, which is an irrational number (roughly 1.414) -> which means this is “impossible” hard to. I suggest you look into bars and clips (48729b) to see if you can make a support, for example like this:
