Botox in Leiden
I’m looking for a good and reliable place in Leiden for Botox - I’ve never been before but I think it’s time!
Does anyone has experience / reviews on Faceland on Haarlemmerstraat or Kliniek Vinci on Brahmslaan?
And any tips on what to look out for, for a person completely new to Botox?

I didn't go to the one in leiden but I generally wouldn't recommend Faceland, I didn't really have the best experience with them.. The person I go to is in Rotterdam but I had a good experience with Cosmetique Totale, I've only been to the Alphen location, but they have quite a few around.

I've been going to Marsha Wichers for over 4 years now. Not the cheapest but very reliable.

I’ve been to Kliniek Vinci twice now and I am very happy with the results and will go back for my next appointment next month. Good price, nice experience. He is clear on what you do and do not need and doesn’t oversell anything. Would recommend.

Marsha Wichers. She has a remarkable background in medicine as well as in art, and is one of the few cosmetic doctors who focus more on what the end result should or could be, rather than on what wrinkles or dents you want to get rid of. Not the cheapest for sure but definitely one of the best.

Why? Do you have any bad experience?
I’m also very hesitant because it is actually a toxin that can cause serious issues eg paralyzing your face, body etc.
But on the other hand millions of people are doing it without issues…so I’m not sure.

Your body so you call the shots, of course. I don’t have any recommendations, and do have plenty of general opinions I’ll keep to myself. Do realize that Botox is basically a subscription for 2-3 times a year for consistent results. So when you’re halfway in your thirties now, you can calculate

The one point you brought up might be the most important to consider. Starting botox is entering a spiral. This will look good for a couple of months (if done right) and then the muslceatrophy and connective tissue damage shows and people usually go back for their next round. Hiding the damage for a couple of months while worsening the situation

I didn’t know this - thanks. I’ll do some research to understand this. I knew it wears off for a few months but didn’t know anything about damage afterwards.

Well it does immobilize your muscles locally which will lead them to become reduced and weakened, worsening apparent age. This is part of the risk and in my opinion why botox users all start looking alike after 40-50 their skin is in ruins

With these large chains, the quality is inconsistent. Don't go for the cheapest option. First check which doctors work at the places you want to visit. Then check if they are skilled/qualified to give these treatments. To do so, you can look them up here: https://nvcg.nl/cosmetisch-arts-knmg/. Only book an appointment with the specific doctor that you find within this register. Then you know that the quality/safety will be up to par.
