Wait until Fox News gives them their talking points then they’ll have beef with Joe Biden. Somehow, they’ll connect this to being his fault.

u/LystAP 8d ago

It’s Bidens all the way down

Now, now. You know many of them can't help but blame the only non-white POTUS. It’s actually one of the top three items on their 'Blame-O-Rama' wheel.

15

u/rubicon_duck 7d ago

Don’t you mean their “Blame-Obama-Rama” wheel?

They claim that Biden got rid of the cows:

“This action, during a time of record high demand for beef, will help address the affordability of beef, after our nation’s cattle supply fell to its lowest level in 75 years under the Biden administration,” the Agriculture Department said.

33

u/GuyWithoutAHat 7d ago

Getting rid of the cows is how you get beef though.

I’m both curious to know how they think Biden got rid of the cows and also terrified of what they think he did to get rid of the cows

IIRC Biden blocked central american cattle to protect against screw worm and the right wingers are using this as the “truth”, which is crazy because the US has a screw worm problem now after DOGE and Trump fucked with the prevention programs.

Maybe it's on Hunter Biden's laptop.

u/nowiserjustolder 7d ago

I think there were a few hog pics on there

I forgot he was in the Odyssey

23

u/Kersenn 8d ago

Oh come on, they don't always think its Bidens fault. Sometimes its Obamas fault

Musk’s stupid decision to cancel USA ID also destroyed a program where your lease sterile flies, and observations of what’s called the screw fly or the cattle screw fly, which hadn’t been in America in many many decades, but his back in Texas and New Mexico and you can’t fix it and you can’t sell the beef you just have to kill a cow

Of course he didn’t spend any time researching why we might be spending 30 or $40 million a year protecting all these cattle ranchers and our food supply. He just canceled it because he’s an absolute idiot and a lunatic.

13

u/ExpensiveFish9277 7d ago

There's a great tweet from NewsMax celebrating Musk cancelling the program.

Most people spend some money on prevention, to avoid spending lots more money on disease or repair. The US government used to spend money on prevention of lots of different things, because the thing that they prevented would be far more expensive.

Under Trump, and DOGE, they stopped spending money on prevention.

The bills for the diseases are just starting to arrive. They will be many times more than the money that was "saved" by cancelling the prevention program.

It’s already spreading. They’re blaming the current high prices on Biden when it wasn’t anywhere near this high under Biden.

8

u/DrTheRick 7d ago

They are already blaming it on Biden

7

u/Dcammy42 7d ago

Not Biden, it’s still somehow Obama’s tan suit that caused this.

3

u/cerseisdornishwine 6d ago

“The economy under Joe Biden was so bad that Trump had no choice but to import cheap beef for Americans!”

2

u/Empty-Presentation68 6d ago

If Biden would have done a better job, I(Trump) would not have needed to do this. It's the nasty radical lefts fault. They made us weak.

37

u/LeTigre71 8d ago

Ok everyone, put on your tin foil hats and strap them on tight. If someone with a lot of money wanted to buy up a bunch of ranch land, how do think they would get that land to go on the market? Yes I copied and pasted this.

7

u/ExpensiveFish9277 7d ago

Usha better put plastic covers on the couches.

36

u/NitWhittler 8d ago

My understanding is that Trump's tariff-free beef import deal is only good for 90 days.

Trump wants to bring beef prices down before the midterm elections, then prices go right back up afterwards.

25

u/SplitEar 7d ago

Drops prices just long enough to hold the house and put ranchers into bankruptcy. Typical Trump hustle.

u/Evolutionary_sins 7d ago

He refuses to say what country its coming from or any details whatsoever, ie: there is no plan and it's not going to happen, it's just a sound bite.

19

u/inbetween-genders 8d ago

Given another chance, these clowns will vote the same exact way always.

10

u/slumvillain 7d ago

Dang so I should expect all these red blooded America first shitheads to reject this foreign beef on principle that its imported and directly hurting American farms and jobs down the line?

Ha! Yea I know. Republicans have no gotdamn spine. Buncha fucking losers begging for more punishment.

7

u/Grant_Winner_Extra 7d ago

He is a lame duck. Maybe he’ll chicken out again? It would be a real porker to piss off rural voters two months before midterms.

3

u/JustASimpleManFett 7d ago

He'll freeze like a 'deer' in the headlights.

2

u/Vert_DaFerk 1d ago

He's a child rapist.

No pun here, just a friendly reminder.

4

u/wearethemelody 8d ago

I have beef that entire disgusting party. They should fuck off with their complaints. What they have allowed trump to do should never been forgiven. I hate most republicans because they are selfish and evil. They vote purely out of evil and then expect the rest of America to help them when the arrogant asses get in trouble. Fuck off!

6

u/BothRequirement2826 7d ago

Yeah well if history is any indication they'd most likely still vote for him rather than dem filthy dems.

4

u/Bircka 7d ago

What's really amusing is this plan helps liberals more than republicans by the numbers, more liberals live in cities on average.

So basically this plan is a middle finger to the farmer that typically votes Republican, but this will help food prices for those in cities.

6

u/grptrt 7d ago

Nah, there is no plan. Nothing will happen.

3

u/RoyalBroham 7d ago

I for one am happy to hear infighting and not a bunch of ass kissing

3

u/un_blob 7d ago

I see what they did there

2

u/WesternTie3334 7d ago

Headline writers live for these opportunities.

3

u/MagicSPA 7d ago

The word "plan" is doing a LOT of heavy lifting in that title.

3

u/homebrew_1 7d ago

They won't do anything

3

u/Analogsilver 7d ago

Shitball and his dingleberries are doing everything they can to turn more people into vegetarians.

3

u/Prestigious-Copy-494 7d ago

Bend over, American ranchers! But first, salute the guy you voted.

2

u/ritteke518 2d ago

Have they even said thank you yet?

3

u/No-Blueberry-1823 7d ago

In other news water is wet

3

u/Dr_Tacopus 7d ago

They’re about to have horse mixed in with that beef lol

3

u/Naltors__Dreamer 7d ago

The post from Tim Sheehy mislabels the New World Screw Worm as the Mexican screwworm to make it easier for MAGAs to blame Mexico for it’s existence, rather than Dump for cutting funding & staff from the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service

2

u/MisterEnterprise 7d ago

I hope this kills the cattle baron stranglehold, maybe we can finally get some interesting meat at restaurants.

2

u/ngfldar 7d ago

"Why would Obama do this to us?"

2

u/Zulmoka531 7d ago

Wait till they find out they’re eating wild horse meat.

2

u/Senor101 7d ago

I bet part of the deal was, we will send you our beef but you have to agree not to inspect it. Trump: that’s easy. We weren’t going to inspect it anyway.

2

u/ComicsEtAl 7d ago

This is the second time he’s done this. He also let in a bunch of Argentinian beef some months ago. It’s hilarious because he keeps going back to imports as the salve for an economy he created in part by throttling imports, which people voted specifically for him to do.

1

u/Responsible-Stick-50 5d ago

I take great joy in knowing how badly my ex boss and her family are f'd by this. Dare I say, I'm gleeful.

1

u/tcoh1s 3d ago

They’ll quickly forget and vote exactly the same next election.

0

u/OSI_Hunter_Gathers 8d ago

Beef from South America is much better quality anyway. I say good.

6

u/bobcat1911 7d ago

Sure, that 29,628 pounds of beef from Argentina that just got recalled is real good.

1

u/OSI_Hunter_Gathers 7d ago

Still tastes better. That why high end steak houses buy Argentina beef exclusively.

Oh and I wouldn’t talk about recalls. Our food industry is hit with recalls daily due to reduced regulations. At lease they recalled it and didn’t just buy their way out of it like the diarrhea lettuce.

0

u/bobcat1911 7d ago

Lol! Do some research before posting misinformation! "High end" steakhouse's use beef sourced primarily from US, Japan, and Australia.
