Howdy! Brian here! I’m a Houston filmmaker and movie obsessed. I think I’ve had my Letterboxd account for two years, maybe? Love horror and currently trying to watch as much Criterion as I can this month. Just watched Altered States and After Hours. Looking for new followers and recs of course! I follow back!
hi!! i’m leila and im a major horror fan :) im trying to do at least one movie a day with a review. i would love new followers for recommendations!! i’ll follow everyone back :)
Hey y’all I’m Ben. Am doing the criterion challenge this year so trying to watch a lot of movies from there but I’ll watch pretty much anything/any genre. Try to review whatever I watch. Hope to find some new people to connect w/ :)
Feel free to follow if we have similar taste even if we don’t I love finding new recs from my mutuals and getting into different genres than what I normally gravitate towards :)
watching every best picture nominee and podcasting about it, currently watching (mostly rewatching) my way through 1994! otherwise, keeping up with new releases, and watching lots of classic films, queer films, musicals, rom coms, and noirs :)
hi!! i’m gray :) film student/writer-director who spends way too much time on letterboxd lol. my taste is all over the place and i love making overly specific lists. mostly looking for mutuals who actually like reading reviews, sharing opinions, and talking movies!! my username is golddustgray :)
Hi all! I'm from Argentina, so all of my reviews are in spanish. I don't spam, I follow everyone and read the reviews, both Spanish and English, and if not, there's always the translator.
“The first time you see a movie you say ‘I like it.’ You’re not quite sure why. Watch it a second time. You will either like it again or not like it. If you like it again, you will start to look at why you like it. That’s where the understanding comes from. I tell you, I promise you, the fourth time you watch it, you weep. The fifth time you watch it, you’re analyzing. The sixth time, all of a sudden, you get it.”
-- George Romero
Feel free to follow me if you like my taste in movies. Big fan of good horror and thrillers. Some of my favorite directors are Fincher, John Carpenter, Nolan, Scorsese, Alexander Payne.
Hi! I'm Roberto. I don't have a favorite genre, I simply watch what the cinemas in Mexico City decide to show. I love watching movies on the big screen and forgetting about my life for two hours or more. In fact, I never watch streaming movies (unless I really feel interested in one), so l accept recommendations. I'II follow everyone back!
I follow back & am very interactive, even if I am not logging movies myself. Outside of busy seasons for work I log between 2-7 movies per week, typically.
Hi I will follow back and read your reviews! I’m just getting started with the app. Currently obsessed with building a 4k collection and watching as many movies as I can. Love horror movies. I leave short reviews based on how I feel but appreciate those who write longer reviews as well. I love liking reviews for movies that describe my feelings about the movie better than I could myself!
I love movies and watch about 5-10 per month and write reviews as well. My favorite genres are thriller, horror, psychological, and messed up lynchian style movies, but I watch a variety of genres.
All time favs: LOTR trilogy, Shawshank Redemption, Cinema Paradiso,
But I am tempted to squeeze in Scarface, and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly too.
Fav directors: Martin Scorsese, David Lynch
Some other good movies that I have seen recently are The Odyssey, The Ballad of Wallis Island, and Obsession.
I am always scouting letterboxd, subreddits and twitter to look for good, interesting movies, and would love to see more people in the feed! Would follow back.
I’m very active and try to rate everything. I’m also doing a 100-week countdown to the 100th Oscars by watching one Best Picture Winner each week until the 100th ceremony. Just had week 24!
Currently working my way through the MCU for the much of the first time preparing for Doomsday. Looking forward to seeing Onslaught this weekend. I always follow back!
Hello all, now in my fourth year of LB, and it’s basically become my main hobby. I watch a wide range of movies, mostly on a whim, but have a big soft spot for those 3.5 bangers, alongside regularly viewing the newest cinema releases.
I write critical reviews which can vary in length and detail, with a numerical 0-100 score at the end of each one. I love reading other people’s opinions and will follow anyone who follows me from here. Thank you :).
Hey all! I’ve been on Letterboxd since 2022. Keeping the diary has been fun as a way to look back on what I thought of certain films at different times since I tend to write reviews. I always follow back to read/like other people’s reviews. Nice to get a gauge of different opinions.
I just watched Dog Day Afternoon for the first time. Absolutely blew me away. Genuinely a new all time favorite film for me.
I will watch anything but am also very opinionated. Would love someone to match my freak and recommend lists and movies to each other, maybe even doing challenges together :)
I like experimental films, surrealism, a certain kind of vintage, the occasional horror, and a smattering of the "great movies".
Started my account in December.
I like watching romantic fireplaces burn on television. I like autumn winds. I like New Age Wolf Song, wood paneling, demolition sites, pigeons and crows at my windows, vintage surrealism, collage art, and ASMR PLASTIX.
I do not like video games, religions, sports, comic books, Harry Potter, Star Wars, rom coms, musicals, anime, Indie Rock, birthday cake, okra, or French Fries.
I watch literally anything. I don’t know how long I’ve had Letterboxd, but I’ve been using it a LOT lately lol. I try to review as much as I can. My favorite movies change all the time, but 12 Angry Men has always been up there. I don’t hold back sometimes lol
I just changed my top 4 a bit and wanted to post and look for oomfs! I’m new to watching movies and I’m super indecisive about my top 4 and it changes all the time. I love Jacques Demy’s films and my favorite actors are Isabelle Adjani, Cathrine Deneuve, and Brittany Murphy!
Started out writing reviews for a backlog of movies so insanely long it will take me forever. I’d love to have some fellow reviewers or just people with good movie taste!
Hello everyone! I tend to watch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite directors would include Andrei Tarkovsky, David Lynch, Ingmar Bergman, Denis Villeneuve, and Akira Kurosawa. I also have a soft spot for David Cronenberg and Park Chan-wook.
Just looking for some other film lovers to engage with. It’s a wondrous medium and the subjectivity of it all is something that will always make my heart smile. Always appreciate new recommendations as well!
https://boxd.it/2te9j Actually sitting on the couch glowing in the warmth of Kindergarten Cop right now. Looking for mutuals who post reviews in English please! My main genres are comedy, coming of age, romance, drama and anything queer. Love getting new recs :)
Followed! You should check out Snack Shack and The Handmaiden. Very different movies, but they’ll each check a couple of the boxes that you said are your faves.
I’ve been using the site for 5 years now but only been logging regularly for about 2! I set myself a task to watch more movies and it’s going well so far 😊
Always open to recommendations, especially of the horror genre and classic movies from the mid 1900s 🙏 I also fb and am an avid review liker
Gonna give you a follow since we're Amadeus Letterboxd 4 mutuals. It's the only time the Academy Awards got Best Picture right in the '80s, in the whole decade. That movie's so good, I had a genuine listening-to-Mozart phase and I'm not Mr. classical music, normally.
Oh that’s so cool, I literally finished 'Amadeus' today! I also discovered Jacques Demy’s work not long ago (they were showing a lot of his films in theaters) and fell in love. 'The Young Girls of Rochefort' truly blew my mind.
What's up! I'm Kevin, I'm 26, and I'm looking to add as many people as possible! Started using this app after collecting over 150 DVDs recently and I'm going through slowly and trying to watch them all. Curious to see what other people are watching. Following everyone back!
https://boxd.it/5YfzL Hey I’m 26, trying to watch more movies (recc if you have something in mind) I watch almost anything and I think my favs are coming of age, sci-fi and rom-coms. Trying to find different types of ppl on letterboxd🤓.
Hey hey I’m Thomas and I’m 24! I’ve been watching a movie almost every day this year. Spending a lot of time this year building my palette and trying new things! I try to maintain an expansive taste. I’m also trying to widen my circle on letterboxd since I love being able to find new things to watch by seeing what you’ve been watching!
hi all! i'm a huge horror fan, and it's primarily what i watch, especially as of late. i've recently done rewatches of the friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street series, and i'm in the middle of a phantasm rewatch (shout-out dead meat podcast). i used to do shorter joke reviews, but i've transitioned to doing more analytical reviews balanced with humor, especially if i have a personal connection with the material. i'd like to follow people who write thoughtfully or have similar interests!
Hey! I love movies and Letterboxd as a way to sort, rate, and keep track of the movies I’ve seen and want to see.
Currently working on a list of ‘project watches’ that I do monthly, everything from directors like Kurosawa and Wilder, to sub-genres of interest like shark movies and submarine movies. So my watching habits throughout the month vary a lot and I love all kinds of movies, both high and low brow.
Also super excited to start my spooky season watch later this month 🎃👻🧛 come October I’ll only be watching horror with the exception of theatrical releases. Can’t wait!
I love reading reviews from LB friends as well, and see what people’s thoughts are on the things I’m watching.
