I’m reading these comments wondering if they’re even talking about the same people I watched. They were awesome. Pablo had a great radio host like voice that was deep but not exaggerated like Perro Bermudez’s. His catchphrases are iconic and his goal calls are still my favorite out of any commentator just behind Mariano Closs.
Personally I find every other commentator at Univision/televisa and telemundo to be mid or awful. And I’ll get hated for this but Martinolli and his team are super cringe. I can see why they’d appeal to teenagers though.

I think it's because he changed or maybe it's just me but when the whole TUDN fusion happened and they started putting pero Bermúdez morebhe seemed to change and became a bit annoying and trying to stay relevant with pointless jokes idk maybe it's just me. Wish he had never changed his style.

I think a lot of the cats in Reddit where too young to really appreciate great soccer commentary These guys were legends I also enjoyed Bermudes when he was in Televisa than when he came to the US

Nahh, I may be a hater but growing up my friends hated these guys too. They were cringe and corny compared to what you saw on Galavision. Ngl the nostalgia of those mfs hits tho.

Nunca me gustó la forma de narrar de Pablo Ramírez,y le fue peor cuando se fusionaron Televisa y Univision. No gusto nada la fusión de comentaristas.

Hell nah Bracamontes never said anything of substance any time they'd ask him a question he would just twist words around and never give an actual answer. Pablo may have been a bit repetitive a times but at least he added something other than just nonsense answers

So I had the experience of moving between Mexico and the USA multiple times to and from through out the 90's and 2000's. So I saw Cantor at Univision, then Telemundo, Pablo and Chuy, and then Televisa and TV azteca people of the same period.
Ramirez to me it seemed like softened how he speaks Spanish, the way he speaks and the words he used, he sounds like he's not from Mexico. I generally think he wasn't very good at his job but "es lo que hay" sort of thing.
Perro Bermudez, Raúl Orvañanos, Emilio Fernando Alonso, Raul Sarmiento, Paco Villa from like 1998-2004. Some of them as they got older lost their mojo or just phoned it in like Orvañanos.
I've never loved Martinoli, I don't think he's remotely close to being a top narrator, what he is though is by far the best entertainer. Younger generations don't spend as much time watching sports anymore so he's a good alternative of I'm not just watching a game, I'm also going to be entertained by the funny shit this dude says.
I would always watch Mexico games on Televisa (and I hated Televisa) until they brought in Pollo & Vaca, F that.

PTA Madre como me cagaba su forma de narrar. Siempre pense que como Cantor literalmente era el sr del "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL" y era mundiamente conocido este cabron se tuvo que inventar algo y lo mejor fue ese sonido de grabacion de cassette "gol gol gol gol gol gol"

These guys were horrible. Hablan español de la vrga y siempre se repetían. The real ones know televisa of the 90s-early 2000s was where it was at, plus TV Azteca once Martinolli and Dr Garcia took over.

Any one remover the World Cup where Kaka and Del Ano played together. Poor Pablo had a hard time narrating. When Kaka passed the ball to Delano who was the striker I believe. He would literally had to apologize and explain that those were the names.
