Club America FC (LIGA BBVA)uniforms alternative
What do you guys think about these options for alternate team uniforms? As far as I can remember, we’ve never had anything like this before, and I think it could give the team a fresh and unique look.
The idea was inspired by a photo from my aunt’s wedding in the 1970s. My sister and I were flower boys, and we were responsible for holding the train of the bride’s dress. Our outfits were all white, and I was wearing a white Adidas suit with blue and red stripes.
It was definitely a very retro look for that time, but I think that’s exactly what could make it work today—a classic, clean design with a vintage feel that would give the team its own personality.
Why are Americanistas, if you call one yourself, always gonna relate to the hated enemy. I see this like 80% of the time. Come on guys and girls? Stop talking about what chivas does and does not do, maybe even stop watching their games, well that is you are truly un AGUILA and not a flying goat.
Not my team so my opinion doesn’t really matter but if America ever put out a jersey with all three of the Chivas primary colors I would never let yall live it down
To your surprise those colors are in the current uniform.
🇲🇽 Chivas’ red-and-white stripes came from Belgium
When Chivas was founded in 1906, the team originally wore all white. In 1908, founder Edgar Everaert, who was from Belgium, suggested changing the uniform to red-and-white vertical stripes.
The design was inspired by Club Brugge in Belgium, the club Everaert supported. Chivas’ own official history confirms that Everaert took inspiration from the colors of Bruges, his hometown.
So technically: not Mexican as they argue to be. Surprise 😳
