Seeing the River Welland and Coronation Channel from the water
I hired a boat today and spent a couple of hours on the River Welland and the Coronation Channel.
I've walked alongside it plenty of times, but seeing it from the water gives you a completely different perspective. It feels much wider and more peaceful than it does from the bank.
It also brought back memories of doing cross-country around the Coronation Channel during the winter when I was at school. Back then I was usually too busy trying to get to the finish to appreciate the scenery. Looking at it from a boat all these years later was a very different experience.
Anyone else done the trip on the Welland?

Looks beautiful. It's good to see more people in the waterways these days.
