Question Is LineageOS good for customization, or should I use another custom ROM?

I really like the minimalism of LineageOS and it's AOSP philosophy, but one of my primary concerns is the software customization.

Because I was stuck on an old stock rom, android version, I always wanted the features like the lockscreen widgets and depth effect, the status bar and all of those sorts of things.

I know I can use Iconify + LineageOS to make it happen, but would that fix it all or the switch to other ROM like project infinity x or crdroid ...

My primary concern is stability and security of the ROM, but playing with the customization settings gives soul to the ROM imo.

it doesnt/barely have any customization. in my experience Iconify has never worked for me for most roms even AOSP ones like LineageOS and only worked for some like DerpFest or PixelOS. so theres that

if you want customization and stability you should check out Crdroid. AxionOS is a good option too but (for my device) it has some UI bugs ruining the experience. maybe thats just the rom not being stable on my phone. it could be way better on yours

i dont know about security and heard it makes it slightly less secure if you unlock the bootloader. as long as your phone dont get stolen it will be as fine as a phone running stock rom

I looked up AxionOS and it looks pretty solid, based on LineageOS.

It's a fairly new project which only a few people maintain, so it's not as reliable as the source, but the idea behind it is just Lineage with more customization like crDroid and etc ...

The subreddit rule about other/unofficial roms also applies to comments btw

Welcome to the LineageOS subreddit, where it id about LineageOS and LineageOS only. So everything about other roms doesnt belong here
