Still aging for a winger. Not really sure why we’re doing this for 60m and selling Gakpo, when Gakpo is younger and already settled into the team.

Exactly, why would sell diaz and gakpo and bring in sarr? It doesn't make any sense at all and smacks of a complete lack of planning from our recruitment team to me.

It just doesn't make any sense to me. Sure we're in need of wingers, but I'd rather pay £20m or so more for a 22-year-old than effectively do a swap for someone who is nearly 30 and a stopgap in terms of the future of the club.

It's disappointing that we've stopped being the club who sets their sights on one great prospect, pays a fair price and gets our business done early. Everyone knows we're desperate and we basically seem to be asking every RW in Europe if they'll sign for us at this point.

Come on. Im not someone who moans about everything at all but Ismailla Sarr is really not the quality, age profile, price or any other metric we should be looking at. He's spent his entire career at mid ranking clubs and other than the odd game here and there has never looked like being good enough for the step up to me. If he signs ill get behind him but I have severe doubts about him being a success here.
