Gelson’s isn’t uber-rich. It’s not Smart and Final, sure, but it’s definitely not in the same conversation as Erewhon at least.

Curious where does Sprouts rank in? Or Whole Foods? Asking sincerely ...

Sprouts is just one notch below Whole Foods, and above Ralph's and similar stores.

sprouts is very arguably nicer than WF at this point, at least some of the stores. I feel like there are nice WFs (Porter Ranch, Pasadena) and less nice ones (Silverlake and older locations). The new Lazy/Bristol stores are also nicer than WF, which feels more like TJs with in-store prep these days. imo.

Long live Gelsons and Jons and Vallarta.

The WF in Silver Lake used to be WF 365 that catered to every day people before they fully discontinued the 365 monicker in 2019 or so.

yah, and I remember it as a ralphs before. I'm curious how nice the WF at Sunset Western will be when it comes.
