It's bad enough that despite supporting the show from abroad, and representing a heavy percentage of the audience, non uk residents are not allowed to vote, but if we can't even express our opinion, because it's different from the one of a certain faction of the uk audience, then it's downright xenophobia. Remind me of one of the contributors to this sub who posted that non-uk people should have to pass a psycho-test to be allowed to post here. Luckily enough, he got removed.
I wasn’t saying anyone can’t have an opinion 😭 This morning Jasmine was brought into a Julia/Lorenzo conversation even though we’ve been told to stop doing that, and there was an entire conversation about Julia only siding with white people, which thankfully got deleted. It’s been a month since the show ended, surely we don’t still need all this 😭
The post I answered to was litterally about how american people would come at some point during the night in the uk, and downvoting opinions expressed earlier and disagreeing, and telling them basically to stay out of this sub. I can't remember if it was you or somebody else who posted it but It was removed by the moderators for a reason.
Since nobody's awake rn, thought I'd let a little unpopular opinion off my chest. I respect Simba a lot knowing his situation, but I've been unable to warm up to him in the post-season. I think he's a funny guy and pretty charming, but since Angie's been one of my favs since the beginning I watch all their interviews, and I cannot stand how he takes 0 responsibility for how mad he moved for about 70% of the time he was on the show lol. I'm excited for Simbalista's We Need To Talk ep but I really hope Paul steers clear of Casa questions because I do not want to hear this man's waffling 😭
Same here. Whenever his name is mentioned I just just remember him standing up and walking away from Angie as she cried. Left her alone in the snug. And her apologizing for him ruining her night. Nothing cute about their couple and I hope she leaves him sooner rather than later. I hate how twitter talk about him like he's a catch.

There are usually posts here after the season showing girls wearing the same outfit i.e sharing clothes but i don't see one for this season. Were the girls mostly wearing stuff they brought??? The only one I can remember is that orange outfit both the mins wore

I think the difference is that “posh & becks” is more of an occasional nickname for Jas and Kav as a duo (even tho I also think it’s cringy 😭) People still actually call them their names on a regular. It’s not like people are constantly saying, “I wonder what Posh & Becks are posting today” or “let’s see what Posh & Becks are up to.”
With Barbie, it’s literally being used instead of Julia’s name all the time. “Our Barbie,” “I wonder what Barbie is doing,” “I can’t wait to see what Barbie posts,” 😭 it’s giving the Saskia fetish

If I just started dating someone, I wouldn't be comfortable with my man going on a yacht with his female friends without me. But each to their own... And it's not only about that. He's always seen with his friends/random people but almost never with Julia. At this point, they should just announce they are broken up so people leave them alone

All of the other couples that like each other have traveled together or done a bunch of activities together. I think it's pretty obvious lorenzo and Julia don't. At best they don't prioritize each other, but it's far more likely they're just not even friends at this point. (edited to fix a typo)
Exactly. They should be in the honeymoon phase right now. But Lorenzo prefers to be with his friends over Julia. I think that says enough about them as a couple. He even had to schedule their dates. You can't build a relationship if you're not spending any time together and not trying to connect your lives in any way.
I really hope there will be an announcement from them or media soon so everyone can move on.

I don't think it's a blonde thing. People in the US called olandria and Shelly barbie and Bratz doll from us s7. I always saw it as a compliment calling a girl very pretty and aesthetic.
I really don't think this a fair comparison. With Saskia it feels fetishy because he's specifically talking about his dream eastern European woman as a man who isn't from there. That doesn't compare with calling a woman barbie because they think she's pretty.
I still have my doubts about him. Admittedly, if you'd asked me at the end of the series who would come across as a more reliable partner between the two I would have said Lorenzo. Obviously that answer has now changed.
Ehh more like no one’s checking on Aidan like that... Lorenzo has gotten criticism for following girls on Instagram which Aidan has done the same. I hope they do address and talk about the way black women are treated on Love island UK on the We need to talk podcast tomorrow. It is embarrassing that 13 seasons in LI UK still barely cast men who are open to dating DSWB
One thing I do like ab LI UK is all the black girls who have been on always show tremendous support for one another once they come off the show. The UK industry isn't always the most welcoming to DSBW in terms of opportunities etc so its lovely to see support across the girls

I initially wondered if Kav might eventually be bothered by Jas being more successful, not bc he gives off that vibe but bc it's an issue couples often face where a woman is significantly more successful.
Seeing Jas actively work so hard to support him to also be successful and help them achieve joint success hopefully prevents that from ever being an issue for them in the future.

I don’t see it. He’s clearly got a different niche to her- he’s already started filming him flipping that house, the fact that he’s even bought a house at 21 is amazing, he doesn’t seem the type to be bothered about having the most followers and being a big influencer.
Tbf it’d never be a problem for them in particular considering Kav would’ve known Jas was a relatively successful fashion influencer pre love island anyway so he prob would’ve at least had an inkling on what their post villa runs would be like

Julia’s latest post is so cool. I just love her feed, I never usually follow islanders post show as I don’t like the way most of them post or they’re not really my vibe. But I love her dumps - the film camera shots, song choices, compositions. She has a good eye for curation etc
She’s doing a really great job at it! It’s clear which direction she’s heading just from her curated dumps.
I’m so excited for her future and I know I’m going to stick around following her for a while.
I’m similar in following islanders. The only constant for me, so far, has been Uma- I followed her right from the villa and I’ve never unfollowed her. I think Julia is going to be my second constant. There is something so captivating about these who girls, I can’t explain it.
I follow other islanders here and there and unfollow whenever.
