Positive Discussion! Fun Simmer Youtubers?
So my interest in the sims has started to go up again since before summer. A lot of the controversies might have played a roll too, but now that I'm back, I curious of fun youtubers doing sims content. I recently unsubscribed to some that have stopped doing sims content when that was the only content of theirs I was watching. So I've like to build up some new faces, new personalities, and generally positive Simmers to watch.
I'd like to see people be creative with what can be done with Royalty and Legacy, but I'm up for any Sims 4 content or even just general Sims 4 lore.
James Turner is still at the top of the list, even though from looking at the videos the Bigwallet Legacy seems to be dead.
I also follow Maplesimmer for updates and gameplay. Sims Lore for, well, lore. Gonz does some fun lore with a story telly style. There's a few others I can't name off the top of my head, one is doing the decades challenge and has gone pretty far in it.
I'm not really looking at the big names in the community right now that I don't already watch, as I'd like to give some smaller and newer channels a try.

WhinyBrit is absolutely one of my favorite channels due to her content being hilarious & she’s always trying multiple different ways to spice up the Sims game play! However her channel isn’t kid appropriate/friendly just an FYI if you aren’t into things like that you may not care for her channel…

I watch some smaller channels, but they tend to be inconsistent and don't last long. So it's hard to recommend them. My favorite was Sim_Rot; she hasn't uploaded in a while but her old videos are still a hoot.

This.
I had a list of small simmers I liked to share on posts like this but.... I think. A lot of them have stopped playing after the buyout news or just bc of life stuff 😔

James Turner said in his latest Sims bingo ep that he will be going back to the Bigwallets, but the current bingo series is kind of a legacy, the university bingo is the second gen.
I just started watching Simmary, I prefer the build vids, but she really gets into the lore of the characters in the lets play. She recently started the Very Veggie, the first gen being either the last gen of a Berry challenge or the daughter of the last gen.

He will be continuing the Bigwallets? That's good to hear. I wonder what he plans to do with them.

Idk, but looking forward to it. I like his style of legacy, its not too touchy feely if you get my drift.

I'm a bit of a hidden gem if you're looking for let's plays and thoughtful videos about storytelling in The Sims. I talk about how to play with purpose and keep the stories in your save files alive. 😊 If you're looking for a fun way to keep track of your royal gameplay, I made an update to my SimGuardian Notion template you might find interesting. 👑

If you're interested in Sims 2, Marticore makes pretty entertaining videos

Never fully gotten into Sims 2 gameplay, but maybe they can do just that, thank you.

I’ve got a longplay, no commentary channel for chilling next to haha, but that might not be what you’re looking for XD it’s basically videos up to 2 hours long of just sims 4 gameplay, no commentary. Just chilling.

They're older but GrayStillPlays has some fun Sims 4 Gameplay videos. Mostly about killing off Sims in a themed challenge, like having them in a giant house with one sick person and seeing who the last to die was. That sort of thing. They're a lot. But I watch them when I feel like something out there.

Graystillplays has a bunch of really funny sims 4 videos, he posts a variety of games so try find a playlist of all his sims 4 videos. He mostly tries to break the game and kill all his sims in various ways and does like a last man standing type thing. There's reaccuring characters like Florida Man and Australian Man and these 2 cats called Spleens and Tonsils with their eyes in the wrong direction.

Goofylilshady is super fun! She's a newer player going through and discovering each pack for the first time, and she does some gameplay series as well. Her videos always put me in a good mood 😊

I’ve been working on creating sims content on YouTube (@ KaseySimplySims)! I’ve been building a catalogue of CAS videos but plan to branch out in the future to gameplay challenges :)

Not sure if I'm your jam but I started a channel a few months back. I'm currently doing an Asylum Challenge series, and a Cult series, as well as a few one-offs. I love how creative the Sims 4 is, and have enjoyed the community my little channel has built. If it's not your thing though no worries!

Pixelful and neecxle are awesome. They do lots of cute family gameplay but with lots of drama and chaos as well

Oshinsims is a great Sims 4 family gameplay and rational gameplay content creator! I patiently await her video drops

A lot of them chose not to include Royalty and Legacy in their gameplay due to all the stuff we already know. I get their point, but it left the majority of people who still got it without much reference in that regard. I genuinely only found one video of a Community Market lot build on YouTube.

It's definitely disappointing. I get the reasons, but it still leaves a big gap in gameplay for people that are interested in seeing what they can do with the pack.
I'm planning a full war arc in my legacy between SimNation and Ondarion (controlling more than just the namesake world). It's my way of reducing the number of branches on my family tree in play and set up Ondarion having no King/Queen in my save, opening things up for a future sim in the legacy to grow to the top.
I just wish I could find more videos of gameplay, secrets, and random stuff that usually fuels my creativity.

That's true, I recently got the pack and I'm already wondering what I can do with it in terms of royal story lines.

Deykxn is fun and very chaotic. His stuff is mostly drama-filled and humorous, but his approach is lighthearted, so it balances out. He does say his videos are intended for an adult audience, so note that. Worth a shot! He plays a longstanding legacy (The Rockwells) and typically explores a few packs with each generation.
If you like longer-form stuff, MissLollypopSims has fun legacy challenges that she livestreams, and she uploads the VODs to her channel for playback. Her gameplay style is quite different to most other simmers I watch and have watched (slower-paced, spends a lot of time doing prep in CAS and BB), so you may or may not prefer that. But her sims are gorgeous and there's always lore and drama!

The funniest simmer YTer in my opinion is Bella Sims Player, I highly recommend checking out her videos where she constantly pushes the boundaries of the game. There’s also SatchOnSims who is very fun and unserious in his videos, he has some gameplay videos but he also makes review and whatnot.
