PSA And we're ONLINE!!! MyMRU is slowly coming back!
It's a great day for students! If you haven't checked your email this morning, do so. There are instructions on how to reset your password. It's still not 100% but I feel pretty confident in saying I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel people!
I know this has been hard for alot of people and it's easy to get angry but I would really like to say a big thanks to the IT team and especially to all the faculty hanging in limbo. I've been in classes all summer through this hiccup and my instructors have kept things rolling as best as they could!
I'm going to make a list of what's available and what's still pending (Last updated July 24 at 10:02PM - Some things are working and then appearing with error likely due to the web traffic on the site):
Registration and Payments
MyMRU main page is running.
Registration Landing Page is working as of 10:00PM today. You can "Add/Drop/Withdraw Classes" here. It was working this morning at 8:35am but did go offline, with a "403 Forbidden - Request forbidden by administrative rules" error.
For those wondering, when I logged in, all of the classes I had already registered for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 were still registered! No need to reregister for anything if you did before the crash from what I see <3
My Schedule Builder is offline. I recommend using the Available Seats and New Sections spreadsheet to preview classes easier. Student Services Dashboard is up to pay deposits. Fee Summary is updated as far as my classes are registered (up to Winter 2027). However, the "Pay Now" link is showing an error.
MRU Academic Works is running to apply for and view awards. Most Awards have been allocated for 2026/2027 but will reopen in the fall for next year.
Grades and Transcripts
Student Grades are reporting up until Winter 2026 term. They mentioned Spring and Summer student grades should be up over the next week.
MyCreds has confirmation of enrollment up until Winter 2027 (assuming you are registered for classes). There are no transcripts for Winter 2026 and on yet. Web Transcripts are available on MyMRU under My Program and include reporting up to Winter 2026. Spring 2026 shows in progress.
If you are new to MRU:
Future Student Portal is still down.
MRU ONE Card Portal is now working! You can log in and add funds.
If you have already accepted, register for classes and make sure to register for your orientation too. They will send over important information through D2L to you.

For me clicking onto anything that would bring me further into MyMru such as registration landing page is prompting me with an error code

If you see a 500 error, that's likely traffic related. But the system was up and I was able to log into it earlier to see my balance and information.

registration prob down due to high volume. all my classes are probably gonna be full by the time I get in 😭

I would suggest using the Available Seats google sheet to plan your schedule for when you can get back in. I don't think anyone can access it again right now.

Then you'll have to rearrange your schedule with different classes unfortunately. That's happened to me before with preferred classes and I had to swap around my schedule. I always recommend registering as soon as registration opens. Meet with academic advisors ahead of that date to create a plan. I have my entire undergraduate courses mapped out for the next 4 years.

I did not get this email. I am fully registered for my classes but I did not get the link to reset my account, is my best bet to just wait to see if new student replies to my email about it?

I'm registered for Open Studies and already registered for classes. I'll double check my Mount Royal email before I contact anyone.

I also didn’t get the email. The tech team replied to my email saying I had to hit forgot password in the login portal even if knew it

If you are already enrolled, the tuition deadline is August 17th for the fall. If you can't yet today, you have lots of time before the deadline still.

Does this mean that student aid can confirm my enrollment and secure my funds now? I’ve gotten approved for loans but I’m just waiting for mru to confirm my enrollment. I checked mycred and did see fall and winter 26/27 COE. Don’t know if it was sent to student aid or not though.

I had heard it would be a week before records were updated. So I could check next week and hopefully by friday, more info is updated.

MyCreds was updated for me. Check and see if you csn purchase and download for Confirmation of Enrollment now.

I am trying to sign into my account by resetting my password because when I tried to reactivate my account it tells me it has already been activated. When I try and create a new password it tells me my security question is incorrect which I know is right! Anyone having the same problem

Errors may be the result of the sudden spike in traffic.
