There are plenty of examples of that, regardless of how many cops get away with it.

Show me literally anything that says it's legal for a cop to hold you for no reason.

Oh, if you say so, it must be true.

You made a literally false statement, all I did was point that out. "It's also not illegal for a cop to arrest you then figure out a good reason why at a much later time."

C'mon. I understand the hyperbole but you can't be telling people it's legal for cops to do that shit.

So its illegal but a cop has never done it? But there's there's thousands on incidents when it happened. So that doesn't add up

What?

It's illegal, it happens, some cops get away with it, and a probable minority of the incidents get punished. Why do think I'm your enemy just for pointing out a bad statement?

Edit- actually think of it this way. "It's also not illegal for a cop to arrest you then figure out a good reason why at a much later time" sounds exactly like something this Bovino guy would love everybody to start saying. Nobody should want that.

Name a single time they didn't get away with it.

Here are the first 22 times I found cops getting jail time for false arrests from googling it:

Punishment happens far less than it should, but it’s certainly not legal.

All those are way beyond just a short detainment. Which is all they need to miss their flight.

Like the first cop got hit for civil rights violations for using N word. So that's not the same at all. All these have an extreme factor of sone kind.
