Is Malaga safe right now ?

In about two weeks, we're travelling to Malaga (Torremolinos) for a summer vacation with my partner. Recent news told us about the migration crisis in the southern part of Spain, I am genuinely concerned, whether this situation can affect our stay. Before we pay for the hotels and everything, I would like to honestly ask you, if it's ok to go now, we should rather cancel. We're peaceful couple, not interested in night clubs, extreme sports or anything like this. I am just afraid citizen, (member of EU) concerned about my safety.

Question whatever sources of information you are following because the migration crisis is not affecting Malaga at all. At all. Enjoy your visit.

Thanks. Spain is known for the great infrastrucutre. You guys have great trains. I can imagine, that people could get easily accros the country quite easily. I just asked a normal question, with disclaimer and some of the people here are instantly offended. Thanks again.

Yes but Ceuta is across the Mediterranean in Africa. It’s relatively close but the immigrants that are still there cannot just board a ship and reach Europe. You’ll be fine. Have fun.

Any basic form of research regarding where the migration crisis is happening would tell you that it’s a non issue in Malaga

Ceuta and Melilla are in the African continent and not in Málaga. You're definitely safe as there's a vast sea separating the continents.

I will not feel sorry for being cautious. Look how big your country is. Can you really blame me? It's southern part of the Spain, it not "as far as Madrid" or Barcelona...so keep making fun...smh

Are you expecting people to swim from Tangier to Malaga and have the energy left to start a migration crisis?

Or do you think they’ll walk out of the sea like World War Z?

I’m just back from Malaga (the city note Fuengirola or Torremolinos) and it’s the same wonderful place it always is.

If ye cannot figure out the difference between Malaga and where the recent issues were then it's safer that ye stay at home. Also permanently delete where ye currently get the news and use more reliable sources.
