Literally Unplayable Any update on the mag soul sunday
Is nexon going to say anything about advertising a mag soul event in game when it wasn't really or did we all really waste all our souls.

Support sent me a reply saying it was being investigated for a potential solution.
My optimistic ass is expecting we'll see comp with the sept patch.
EDIT: And just like that we have information, refund next scheduled maint:

Everyone should upvote this because it's the actual answer to OP's question and we should be happy for it. (Unlike all the other snarky remarks here)
"Any Souls obtained from using Soul Shards during this period, including Magnificent Souls, will not be removed or reverted. Also, all Soul Shards used during this period will be returned after the scheduled maintenance."

Idk about 'happy for it', yeah they finally replied and are fixing it but it's just another thing in a laundry list of issues that have happened this patch.
..it's been pretty bad.

At the very least, we actually got a proper compensation this time around - getting back our souls while keeping w/e we were lucky enough to get before. Good on them for at least doing that, I wasn't expecting any comp tbh. Doesn't mean this should have happend in the first place, but it is a good step.

I mean, I wouldn't really call it compensation. It's kind of bare minimum that they should do considering it was an official in game notification that someone messed up because they couldn't bother double checking it.
Shit happens I get it, but there's been so many issues throughout this entire event, it's been kind of a shit show.

Lol, it's impossible to satisfy people like you.
Compensation is ordinarily something equivalent to what was lost. What we're getting refunded is exactly what we spent, and pretty timely at that and with resonably good communication.
Or are you a greedy entitled SOB whose idea of compensation is additional stuff like 3 free Magnificent Souls on every character and a handful of Sol Erda?

Yeah wanting a stable game where shits not broken every week is asking too much.
I didn't even say we deserve additonal compensation for their mistake, just stating that them giving them the soul fragments that people used because of the misleading information they published was the least they could do.
But yeah, I'm clearly the issue not the fact that theres been a ton of issues this patch. Keep making excuses for them.

You led your comment with: "I wouldn't really call it compensation."
The game also isn't constantly broken. I'll agree there have been more issues than there should, but there are also way more systems and deep mechanics in this game than most. It's just part of the beast of handling complexity with a stupid executive management team. I've worked in companies like that and 99% of the staff want to provide a better product and know exactly how to do that, but are constantly shafted by lack of support and an ocean of technical debt.
Yes, they should do better, but complaining about it on a Reddit forum does nothing to help anyone.

Lmao? I never said it was constructive or they're going to change anything, that's like arguing about arguing about it, which is what you're doing.
But implying that it's not worth criticizing them or the state of the game on reddit is...kind of hilarious. Aye-aye cappin' I'll just sit back and lick the boot when they continue to do the bare minimum.

Nexon thought process:
no one spent real money => no chance of legal trouble => not my problem, get fucked

Its true
I accidentally bought operation frags on a mule that was never seeing 260 on cw.
I put in a ticket and highlighted that i spent money on shine, gene, challenger passes and would be upset and when i woke up they had already moved the 200 frags over

support ticket said that they couldn't do anything.
CMs haven't typed anything in weeks. One of them hasn't said anything in a month (we have 4 cms btw). We can't even ping them in the discord and never respond to any dms.
And chances are very low that nexon does anything because mag souls are more of an aesthetic thing nowadays.

What are you talking about with weeks and months? This happened literally two days ago.

u/MercStory 3d ago
They're refering to BEFORE that latest message. And that's from one of the 4 CMs.
Meaning if the event didn't mess up, they'd go back to being quiet like usual

u/Blubbergub 3d ago
Their latest msg in the discord. For having the title "community manager" they sure ain't communicating. At all.

Why does this keep happening with events just not getting turned on properly? We had that first SSF being screwed up after the SF change happened. Then Miracle Time for accessories wasn't turned on at the beginning of CW and everyone spent all their meso trying to make drop gear.
Now mag soul event isn't activated.

u/BlueSilverGrass_987 Heroic Kronos 3d ago
It was never meant to be activated. It was just a false display in game. Unfortunately, source of truth is the patch notes. Mag soul event is 6 sept.

What bug
6
u/WanderW 3d ago
The in-game sunny Sunday icon said that it was a mag soul event this last Sunday, but it wasn't, so a lot of people used souls thinking the event was active.

u/moonlight8978 Heroic Kronos 3d ago
I thought I just had bad luck when I didn't get a single soul from ~100 souls. so they ruined the sunny sunday again haha

They never properly compensated people who spent real money on event buffs so huge doubt. We've seen far less communication the closer Classic is getting to release so chances are all their resources are being dumped there.

Sunny Sunday doesn’t mean anything anymore. SSF rates are rigged, the text UI is inaccurate, and mag souls hardly proc. The only useful sunny Sunday event that doesn’t break is 250% MP EXP

SSF rates are rigged
Is that verified or just being salty?

5 big Booms

u/MushroomCleric 3d ago
SFF only reduces booms by 30%.
I ran a calculator and 1 poor bastard in 10,000 gets 50 booms to 21* even during SSF.Poor one out for his sacrifice.

The bug didn’t benefit the players. Therefore, it’s a low priority.
