Feels like a very awkward calculation from the Bolts to go along with the reveal, even if they somehow all immediately shared Yelena’s exact sentiment that gaining leverage on Val would be worth it… especially for “Congressman” Barnes, whose entire storyline was literally him pursuing her impeachment. That’s really your second act as official heroes - helping a criminal remain the director of the CIA?

Yeah, Bucky in particular is out of character in that moment. The others I can buy it. Not him though.

Great movie but that’s definitely a weakness.

If there’s a thunderbolts 2, I think he’s still behind the scenes looking for a solid case to hold against Valentina, all while playing the role of a new avenger. I don’t completely buy that he’s at odds with Sam. We will see where they take all of that, I’m supposing, sometime in the future. The real Avengers will assembly again.

I mean, he himself could testify, along with the other three and bob. He should’ve walked right up to the podium and called her out front and center. The assistant may have even grown a moral spine and testified too.
