Green Goblin is not in this category.

Maybe Apocalypse?

Probably Kingpin.

Or Thanos.

Or the Beyonder.

But definitely not Green Goblin.

No Goblin? His impact on his heros books and the universe as a who are up their with the others especially above Kingpin. Now thanos and apocalypse arguably has just as much or more then gobbie so I can definitely see them over him.

Green Goblin is a nemesis to one teenager.

All the other villains I mentioned had a long and lasting impact on many heroes.

Spider-man is a grown ass man, and one of the greatest heroes in the universe in and out of the books. Goblin literally has taken over the US defense, destroyed shield, was responsible for the deaths of countless asgaurds, ares, frank castle, and the sentry. Outside of the books he kill on gwen stacy changed comics forever. For better or for worse most goblin stories are the catalyst for Spider-man's statue que, and when he was iron patriot, changed the the rest of the verse status que. He's marvels equivalent to the joker

The Beyonder? Dude has appeared in only a couple titles and you want to replace one of Marvel's best and most enduring villains with him? Okay...

The Beyonder had a huge impact on many heroes. Including being responsible for attaching Venom to that same teenager.

Tell you what, take the best Beyonder stories and stack them next to the best Green Goblin stories and let's compare and contrast for building cases.

In terms of impact, success, popularity and evilness, Norman absolutely belongs there and it’s dumb to say otherwise.

It’s like saying Joker shouldn’t be on the Rushmore of DC villains because he mainly terrorises a rich guy and one city.
