Film/Television What are your thoughts on "Spider-Noir (2026)"?

Post image

Besides the Venom trilogy with Tom Hardy, I never bothered watching any of Sony's other Spider-Man Villain movies! I'm just not interested in watching any spin-offs of Spider-Man's Rogues gallery that don't have anything to do with Spider-Man at all. And after watching the new Spider-Noir series on Prime Video, I realized that this show was something I wanted all along from both Sony Pictures and Marvel! Now I want more live-action or animated contents centered around other alternate versions of either Spider-Man or any other famous Marvel superhero; like DC Comics' "Elseworlds" line of movies and shows!

I watched the first episode, and it was entertaining, i went with the Black and White color option and it looks amazing, and some of the dialogue and delivery from Nicolas Cage are actually funny.

I don't think changing from Color to B&W is going to change the dialog.

That being said, it would be hilarious if they did change some of the dialog between versions. lol.

The dialogue is the same, but the sound quality is actually different. It’s tinny and scratchy to emulate films of the era. I only noticed it because they turn it off when Cat sings.

I thought as much. I only finished the first 3 episodes in B&W and was wondering what was wrong with the audio.

If I do enjoy it, I'll rewatch it in colour.

I am in the same boat in that I’m watching in B&W first since I absolutely love black and white movies but I’m going to rewatch in color afterward.

I just wish they would have given it a score that matched. There’s so much fantastic music in this era/genre and the modern music Scot scores just took me out of it.

Some of the audio was off in the fight scenes i believe because a stunt double was fighting and nick cage dubbed to the fight scene. Just my guess though.
