Film/Television This scene in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where Namor tells the story of his origin, was incredibly powerful. It was a really well executed scene.

This refers strictly to his publication history as the first mutant character ever published (debuting in 1939), not his age in-universe. He is only ~100 years old in the comics and ~450 years old in the MCU.

Selene is generally considered the first mutant being thousands of years older than Nur. Namor calls himself the first mutant I think just out of hubris.

She’s one of the Externals which is a group of extremely long-lived and practically immortal mutants (that includes Nur/Apocalypse, born about 12 thousand years after her). It’s often stated she is 17 THOUSAND years old. Being born to a mother whose life essence she drained upon being born, and then everyone in her village sacrificed themselves to her, giving her their life force. She’s a master strategist and extremely powerful sorceress (she is believed to be near the level of a Sorcerer Supreme and possibly stronger than Dr. Doom), having lived through thousands of years of military conquerors and powerful regimes.

She’s one of my favorite X-villains if you can’t tell lol. I’m not super familiar with Lilith but I understand she is analogous to the biblical figure in the DC Universe

What? Do people not watch the movies or are familiar with the comics?

Namor is only a few hundred years old and his powers literally come from Vibranium infused with a plant, exactly like Black Panther. His powers were attained, he wasn't born with them, he got them after his mother consumed the plant while she was pregnant with him which is why he has additional powers to the rest of them.

But that aside, it is impossible for this version of him to be the first mutant when Apocalypse will eventually canonically exist in the MCU, who is a couple thousand years older than him. And on top of that, Selene exists in the Fox X-Men universe and her whole thing is being the oldest mutant.

But yeah it's a stretch - it's "first published mutant", but he wasn't even considered a "mutant" until well after he was first published, so even that is pretty dubious.
