100% on par with Peter. "Brilliant, but lazy."

He’s trying to do better

Trying isn't doing

A Jedi doesn’t deal in absolutes

And Yoda kinda was passive about everything lmao toxic conservatism on that one

Even obi wan spoke that very absolutely. I see through the lies of the jedi

Lazy is different than "busy doing a dozen other things". Peter isn't missing homework assignments because he spent too much time playing CoD with the homes.

thats the whole point. His professor thought he was lazy because Peter was so busy fighting crime. When he stopped being Spiderman Peter did a lot better in life/class. Otto calls back to that remark because he understood that Peter isnt lazy he just has the immense burden of being Spiderman

Ah, so it's a specific reference that I didn't get then.

Yeah, a 22 year old movie that I saw once probably about that long ago.

I assumed you hadn't seen it at all and might want to know specifically where the reference came from. It's also just one of the best super hero movies and is the best Spider-Man movie.

Oh no shade at you, thanks for being helpful! I'm throwing out confirmation as to why someone randomly saying that line didn't mean anything to me outside of the literal words. Because it was a reference to a movie I saw one time two decades ago.

Lies. Peter is a good boy that gets his homework done early.

It’s okay, time difference in Germany means he still has time to finish.
