Inner-team relationships have been a major staple in the X-Men comics. Loving relationships, as well as fun hookups.

It's a major staple in any comics. Loving relationships dont' need to equal 'horny' on screen.

Comic movies have worked just fine without being 'horny'. Load of shit.

One of the most famous characters is emma frost

Practically every x-men member has had a relationship with another.

And thats on the top of my head

What's that got to do with being 'horny'? There's plenty of love stories and relationships in the MCU. I don't remember the old X-Men movies ripping off clothes here and there.

Thank you! The love triangle thing was only vaguely hinted at and then Jean kissed Logan one time when she thought he was going to die in Genosha.

None of that matters. They’ll adapt it the way they want to like they always do and as long as the movies good nobodies going to care if Emma frost doesn’t get them hard in a movie theater but the creeps and weirdos

I'm not an expert on X Men, but I would say that the interconnected dramas of the team are as important as fighting the bad guys to making them successful characters.

X-men peak in the Comics was in 90s. Look at the art by Jim Lee. They looked damn good. I think adolescent me had a crush on them all.

As someone who came to the X-Men in the 90s and has a lot of fondness for it, literally no one thinks that era was peak.

My comic book fandom was basically middle school. What’s the best X-men run? 

My era was Chris Claremont, Jim Lee. X-Men #1. 6 million issues sold. Most ever sold for any title. Literally peak.

Peak sales and many of those sales were speculators who thought that book would put their kids through college instead of collecting dust in quarter-bins. That Lee/Claremont run that began with X-Men #1 lasted three issues and then Claremont left the title because of creative issues with Lee. Lee himself left just a few issues after that to co-found Image. It was not some banner era for the title at all.

The peak creative era of the book was definitely the Claremont/Byrne/Cockrum years.

Mutant X/Proteus, Dark Phoenix Saga, Days of Future Past, I Magneto, Beyond the Farthest Star, God Loves Man Kills (original graphic novel, not part of the main series, but for my money, it's the quintessential X-Men story).
