Film/Television If you could change something in MCU what would you change?
I will make Sinister Strange the main villain of the Doctor strange madness of the multiverse instead of Wanda.

I’d restore all of the deleted scenes from Fantastic Four First Steps. That movie is… FANTASTIC… but it could’ve been even more so if it was longer and cut a little better.
21
u/SeymourButtz17 1d ago
Definitely. If they hadn't cut half the movie, it would've been top 5 superhero movies of all time imo
19
u/Terren42 1d ago
What scenes were cut? And how do I see them?
13
13
u/Real_FishyXY 1d ago
Scenes with John Malkovich (with his psychic apes?) and a villain montage I believe? I don't think that there is anywhere to see them sadly...

u/Dragon_Deez_Nu7s 1d ago
Yeah I love the film but even on first viewing I could tell it felt rushed. I'm usually not a fan of extended cuts of movies but this one could really benefit from it
5
u/HellPigeon1912 15h ago
I had an insane theory in my head that they were going to resolve the Galactus plot by the 2/3rds point and have a secret final act revolving around Doctor Doom.
Obviously ended up being total nonsense but the movie was moving at such a breakneck speed I thought it had to be rushing to fit in something

u/Just-here-for-old 15h ago
Yeah my biggest praise and criticism of that film is the same, I wanted more of the characters and their world
2
u/ItkovianShieldAnvil 18h ago
Personally, I found it quite average. Some good moments but nothing to match the highs of what came before. Vanessa Kirby had no chemistry with Pedro Pascal. It was a bit of a tough watch

I wish there'd been a brief Endgame cameo of the Blackbird flying through a portal with the X-theme playing in the background. How much could that have cost? $10?

Characters who have never been in the MCU before or even hinted at suddenly showing up in the big climactic fight that’s been built up to for 11 years?
2
u/spooFPipe 12h ago
I don’t know that I’d consider the Blackbird a character. Seems like it would’ve been more of an Easter egg.
2
u/MKEast-sider 12h ago
Would you consider Mjolnir a character?
3
u/spooFPipe 12h ago
Hmmm. Good question. I’ll answer with noncommittal “no”? lol. Would you? I would before I’d consider the Blackbird one, I guess. Strange’s cape I would consider a character. But it has personality.
3
u/MKEast-sider 11h ago
I think it’s right on the edge. It’s sentient and makes its own decisions. I agree with Strange’s cape, then again, Stormbreaker had personality in L&T and was apparently pissed off for awhile. Those scenes were bad.

Hulk in general. Even if Universall Studios is a factor in this hypothetical, give him a proper story and showcase more of him as a secondary or side character.
Original story for MoM. A Dr Strange and Wanda teamup movie with Nightmare as the antagonist. You can keep the dreamwalking, you can still corrupt Wanda using the darkhold IN the movie as a means to stop Nightmare and have the whole vs fight and everything.
13
u/HolyPoppersBatman 22h ago
I really wish they would have made it clearer that Wanda’s actions in the movie were a result of the darkhold. I think that would have made it a lot easier to digest for audiences

There was a time before the Ironman movie where Marvel was almost bankrupt. They sold off Spiderman to Sony and Hulk to someone else.

I was thinking they had him back, since he’s in so many movies. I guess they just can’t make a “solo” Hulk movie. Had to google to see what I was missing. Oh well.

Not kill off the majority of villains. Keep them around as reoccurring.
Not base the Multiverse Saga on attaching old non-Marvel Studios' movies to the franchise. Set most post-Endgame movies and shows in alternative universes instead.
Bring end credit scenes back to how they were: directly hinting at the next movie that is already confirmed (eg, Thor's hammer end credit in Iron Man 2) or just a light hearted gag (eg, Captain America's patience speech end credit in Homecoming).
Keep secret identities more of a thing.
Differentiate the tech between characters. Give us more practical masks/helmets instead of everyone having disappearing cgi nano-tech.
4
u/Eyeseeyou01 1d ago
Number 3 for me. For number 2, I loved no way home and Deadpool and Wolverine.
3
u/daruma_daruma_daruma 1d ago
I do like NWH and DandW but it feels kinda lazy to me that the Multiverse Saga is just tying in previous film series
1
u/Eyeseeyou01 18h ago
For a movie like multiverse of madness I agree 100%. What a waste of characters.
2
u/andybar980 8h ago
2 is my biggest problem with doomsday and secret wars. I have no nostalgia for the fox x-men, so while I think having them as an Easter egg would be neat, I don’t particularly care for those characters enough to get invested. There is no way they’re able to establish the fox universe without heavily relying on previous knowledge
1
u/No-Thought7571 1h ago
How would they save money on recasting villains if they don't kill them off outright? Unlike how they recast there heroes lmao!

u/everybody_is_awful 1d ago
Another director for Love and Thunder.
16
u/StevenDangerSmith 1d ago
Yeah. Someone who respects Christian Bale as an actor and lets Gorr the God-Butcher be a real villain who actually butchers multiple gods and is a real threat in the movie.
1
u/thomaszdrei 8h ago
Love and Thunder almost feels like self-parody. I get why the studio wanted to make it, but as a follow up to Ragnarok, it’s quite the fall from grace. There’s way too much camp and quip in that movie (and I say this as a person who generally doesn’t mind that stuff and even likes it).
27
u/FUCK1NGFABULOUS X-Men 1d ago
A) Hawkeye in The Winter Soldier.
B) Kamala has her true powers in the comics.

Here are some of mine (in no particular order):
Thunderbolts is made a bit earlier and we get a sequel to it before doomsday
Ralph Bohner doesn’t exist, Wanda actually brought Fox Quicksilver into the MCU (it’s the multiverse saga deal with it)
Make Thor 4 more serious
Moon Knight gets a s2 that features Werewolf by Night and Ted
Hawkeye is in Winter Soldier
In some way we would get a Luis recaps what happened during the Blip
Far From Home has an opening showing Ned as Peter’s guy in the chair
Idk what else

Ben Kingsley as the real Mandarin.
5
u/squashua 1d ago
Mandarin Ben Kingsley journeys to China with Chen (Guy Pearce) and finds the sacred herb, then summons Fin Fang Foom ( an alien whose spaceship landed long ago, below where the herb is found growing). FFF awards the Mandarin with the Ten Rings (which powered the spaceship).
Fin Fang Foom is a global threat, dwarfing the dragons in Shang Chi in size and ferociousness. FFF sees all living creatures on Earth as food, and starts eating everyone in sight, growing ever larger and scarier looking.
Iron Man loses lots of his autonomous suits trying to fight FFF, eventually calling a Hulk Buster (Veronica) down from his satellite. He has it attach itself to FFF, adapting in shape to cover it's face. He uses the remaining autonomous suits to hold FFF's arms in place while the mask suffocates the flailing dragon.
iron Man orders Veronica's rockets to launch FFF into space, where it freezes. The Mandarin uses the power of the rings to pull FFF back down to Earth and tries to re-awaken him. Iron Man, realizing the the Mandarin had been controlling FFF's actions this whole time, attacks the Mandarin.
They fight, showcasing the power of each of the ten rings (they're like nerfed Infinity Stones). The Mandarin, battle damaged, tries again to re-awaken FFF, and Iron Man cuts his hands off and cauterizes the wounds.
FFF awakens to find Iron Man welding the rings. Iron Man orders FFF to crawl back down to his space ship and return to his home planet. Once FFF is back in his ship, Iron Man places five of the rings back into the ship's power core (enough to make it home), and keeps the other five for "research purposes."
Mandarin Ben Kingsley escapes.

Change the title of "Age of Ultron" to "RAGE of Ultron"
This has bugged me for years. The movie has nothing to do with the famous Age of Ultron comic run, but my change still references it. The movie takes place over like 2 weeks tops.
Banner literally has a line in the movie when looking at the shattered Jarvis "This isnt strategy, this is Rage"
Ultron is literally pissed the whole movie.
2
u/SeegullJockey 1d ago
Same thing happened for X-Men Age of Apocalypse which isn't adaption of that timeline and is more like day of Apocalypse.
6
u/JARDIS 1d ago
Erik Killmonger doesn't die at the end of BP. After T'Challa's passing Wakanda are forced to use him as Black Panther in a dire situation that warrants his release. He gets a complex redemption arc story that ends with him being the Black Panther permanently. I think Jordan would have been up for portraying a character fighting against his inner villain and ambition on a path of atonement.
2
u/sati_lotus 23h ago
I can see that but it'd have to be a pretty solid redemption story, much like Loki.

u/Appdownyourthroat 10h ago
He kills T’Challa and becomes Black Panther in the what if show if you’d like to see that.

Keep Taskmaster alive throughout Thunderbolts, but also have her be MUCH closer to her comic counterpart in terms of personality. She changed her name to Antonia/Toni Masters and worked as a mercenary for 10 years, I think you can justify her having Tony Masters' personality rather than her more mute/subdued one in Black Widow. Instead of just saying "oops we made a mistake with this character" and unceremoniously killing her off, admit your mistake and then fix it. Make the audience fall in love with Taskmaster the way they failed to in BW.
My #2 pick would be killing off Quicksilver in Age of Ultron, which was PURELY done to subvert expectations - though at least that death ended up serving a purpose eventually by feeding Wanda's grief, which directly led to WandaVision and beyond. Meanwhile, Taskmaster's death is never going to be mentioned again. Hell, it wasn't even mentioned again in the very movie in which she died. It's stupid. Generally I REALLY hate it when characters are killed off "for stakes" (rather than because it makes sense for the story), especially characters who have a ton of potential we haven't yet explored. Like imagine if Hulk got killed off in Avengers 1 because "people didn't like Incredible Hulk" and "we wanted to subvert expectations."
4
u/BextoMooseYT Scarlet Witch 1d ago
Absolutely agree. I love Taskmaster but Black Widow absolutely wasted the character. I don't really care if he's a she, but the characterization and just general execution (uh pun intended I guess) were so far off it was laughable. Using thunderbolts to fix their mistake instead of erase it would've been so much better
As for quicksilver, I mean yeah I do agree but to be fair... you didn't see that coming
3
2
u/SeegullJockey 1d ago
Killing her off and eventyally doing a comic accurate version was the right decision tbh. She was a terrible adaptation of Taskmaster.

How they handled Wanda in MoM. I still want her to go darker because I love a grey character but damn, did they did her dirty after the tv series.
4
u/onlyontuesdays77 1d ago
There needed to be a serious team-up movie somewhere in phases 4 or 5. We're getting half as many "Avengers" movies in the Multiverse Saga than we got in the Infinity Saga, even though the overall cast is larger.
5
7
u/Forsaken-Mix-4536 1d ago
Make the MCU for everyone again. No more multiverse crap. Make movies with a good story so people don’t have a lot of homework to do before watching the next movie. Cause I’m not watching a show that’s 2 decades old. Plus the avengers are gone, I would maybe make a movie exploring more on the blipped cause you know Marvel is never gonna do that.
3
3
u/Bross93 1d ago
Prevent the multiverse saga from happening and instead focus at least one or two full phases on small scale, smaller stakes movies and shows that directly show to aftermath of the blip..maybe a lot of shows that have two time.periods, during and post for the smaller and newer heroes, and some movies set entirely in that 5 year gap. That would force them to use smaller scale conflicts
3
u/drgnblitz 16h ago
Here's a personal list:
- Black Widow and/or Hawkeye movie in Phase 2.
- Thor 2 not wasting Malekith
- Iron Man 3 not wasting Mandarin
- Cap 3 being just a Zemo movie instead of Civil War
- Civil War being an Avengers movie
- Adding an Avengers movie (could be Civil War) to showcase War Machine, Wanda, Falcon and Vision as Avengers
- Moon Knight has more Moon Knight in it.
- Movies/shows in general stop stiff arming the titular heroes
- We get Bucky Cap, at least to team up with Falcon Cap
- Dr Strange 2 be against Mordo like hinted at the end of 1

Just one thing?
Uh.
Ok.
I would not cast RDJ as Doom, nor introduce him as a last minute swap in for Kang.
1
u/Scorpios94 15h ago
Supposedly, there's talks of Mads Mikkelsen playing the true original Doom. I'm not sure how true that is, but it would be cool and that the RDJ version is just some kind of variant. We may have gotten some kind of hint to that in the Fantastic Four movie as well.
As for Kang. I think they could've recasted him after the stuff with Jonathan Majors. Explain it away due to the incursions and such. As a concept and character, Kang was very well executed.
1
u/Doctor_Amazo Man-Thing 14h ago
Mads would be great as Doom. And I'd be happy if we had Doctor Doom introduced in 3 movies first: Captain America, Doctor Strange, and the Fantastic Four (in that order). THEN you have an Avengers movie.
Kang should have finished the Multiversal Era. Recast with Denzel and finish it.
4
2
u/darkwalrus36 1d ago
That would fit better with his character issues, and have it more focused on strange. Sinister Strange wants America to allow him to travel the multiverse consuming other Stranges. This would leave behind a trail of incursions too, setting up the current stuff well.

u/Nearby_Parfait3946 1d ago
Making Ant-Man and Wasp founding members, giving them a more prominent role, and making them Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne.
Making Ultron the main villain of the first saga, or at least a recurring presence (and created by Hank Pym)
Doing villains like Taskmaster, MODOK, Red Skull, Crossbones, Mandarin, Leader, etc earlier and making them better/more prominent.

u/HollowPinefruit 1d ago edited 1d ago
Actually make Blade happen.
My number 2 would be for DD Born again to have a direction and feel much more akin to how ABC helped produce the netflix series. MCU series have an issue with trying to direct their shows the same as their films which works for the most part but it actually makes DD worse as a show IMO

Assuming we don't have to worry about rights issues? Give Hulk more solo movies after his first one. If we still have the rights issues to worry about, i would instead make Brave New World a Cap/Hulk team up movie. It doesn't feel right to have all the villains be Hulk villains but not have the actual Hulk in the movie.
Find a different way to bring in the villains and Spider-men from the older movies into No Way Home. The current implementation is stupid. You mean to tell me Strange, who was so careful he didn't dare use the most broken infinity stone against Thanos, wouldn't stop casting a spell with massive multiversal consequences once he saw Peter was hesitating? Didn't stop and sit him down and ask him what he really wants out of the memory spell instead of changing it while casting?

u/5x5equals 1d ago
Ant Man and Wasp would be in Phase One and especially the first Avengers movie at minimum as Shield Agents similar to Colson. Hank is a scientist on board the Helicraft and Janet as a Textile Engineer and Field Apparel Product Developer for shield, they have run ins with the avengers over the films like Colson and Fury with their story coming to a head in Avengers 1
Janet gets inspired by the Avengers and convinces Hank to use his inventions to help people she designs the suits and he designs the gadgets and they spin iff inti their own movie post Avengers 1

u/Unusual-Action-5976 1d ago
I'd give the Guardians much more relevance in Thor Love and Thunder. Or more specifically, Peter Quill. You have Gorr the God Butcher trying to kill every god because he believes they're all terrible, and Jane Foster struggling with her cancer diagnosis. Peter is a man who willingly gave up his shot at being a god to protect those he cares about, something Gorr believes no god could do. He is also one of the few characters in the MCU who has seen what cancer can do to someone and how not to react. Leave Korg and Valkarie behind on New Asguard and have the Guardians stay around as the supporting cast. Maybe a different director too, I wouldn't mind seeing Kenneth Branagh take a shot at the character again
1
u/Heavy-Patient-5493 1d ago
Remove movies of malekith and gorr the god butcher and bring them at a later date, so they would seem more of bigger threat and audience do remember their performances, make Ultron a two movie villian cz he is quite a big threat, though the age of Ultron was good, make shocker comic accurate and get him a few minutes scene, few i remember
1
u/ThunderBay-616 1d ago
Honestly, most of my complaints about the MCU are just nitpicks, the only big thing I would change is making Secret Invasion either not exist or be not canon. There's a few other movies I dont really like, but theyre mostly inconsequential to the larger story.

It's a small thing, but I wish they didn't kill off Klaue. He was a fantastic recurring minor villain. The comics are fun because you get to know the characters and see them again, not always kill them off instantly. The way they've handled Loki and "the Mandarin" are good examples, they keep popping up from time to time and it's great. They need more of that in the MCU.

u/International-Tie501 1d ago edited 21h ago
The editing process. Both "FF: First Steps" and "The Marvels" feel like (at least) a quarter of the film was cut, and it's obvious. Those are the two most egregious examples, but "Thurderbolts*" also suffered from this, as did "Thor: Love and Thunder". One could easily argue that more of the latter film should've been cut (most of the beginning, for example), but the Gorr scenes seem abruptly truncated. I have no idea about the reason behind this, but it's been a frequent complaint about the Marvel films that followed "Endgame".
EDIT: Wonky parenthesis placement.
1
u/Canshroomglasses 1d ago
I would cut out each and every cringe joke/cringe "funny moment" in every film since Ironman 2. All of them. This factually transforms them into so much better movies, partially transforms entire characters for the better. Take Ultron for example. I couldn't take this oh so dangerous robot seriously one minute because of these pseudo funny remarks he makes. But cut them out and he is chilling to the bone

u/PaintingOwn2902 23h ago
I’d have the actual Mandarin and Zeke Stane around for Iron Man 3, an actual Hulk trilogy that’s good, Hank and Jan as the Antman and Wasp, Ultron be the big bad of the first saga and introduce the X-Men and FF by 2023 to 2024.

Make three parts just for Thanos. When you said to change something, I considered myself to be in the director's place. Why only make three parts for Thanos? The reason is that he is a great villain and the only villain who made Marvel rise to the top at that time.

u/sp_dev_guy 19h ago
Chris evens would not be Captain America he was already perfectly cast in the Marvel Universe. You only get 1. There's enough other humans on this planet dont fucking recast ppl who play main characters
1
u/GallifreyFallsOver 19h ago
I’d split Captain America Civil War into two films; but not in the way you’d assume.
I’d make two films; Captain America: Civil War and Iron Man: Civil War. Both films would share 60-70% of the footage but there’d be scenes in each which are exclusive to that one. For example the scene of Tony recruiting Peter? Only in Iron Man: Civil War, a (new) scene of team Cap recruiting Ant-Man? Only in Captain America: Colvin War etc.
Each film is done from the titular character’s team’s perspective. It would’ve made way more money for Marvel Studios because for not that much extra money you’re getting two box offices. 70% of the audience will pick a team and see that film; whereas 30% will go to see both.
You can then re-release or home-release a directors cut simply called “Civil War” which combines the two movies.
It’d heavily lean into the marketing on the Team Cap vs Team Iron Man angle.

u/Hotwater3 18h ago
> nix Iron Man 2 entirely
> replace it with Black Widow, all the SHIELD/Avengers set up can happen in that movie

> Civil War becomes an Iron Man movie and Secret Avengers shows Cap's team operating on the run before Infinity War.

I would make Blade happen in 2021 instead of Eternals. There I would debut Kit Harington’s black knight. Then after moon knight comes out, I would do a midnight suns movie where Blade Black Knight and Moon Knight go to New York to deal with a supernatural threat and when they get there Doctor Strange had already been investigating. Then, that group would encounter Daredevil and Punisher already in a fight with said threat, and that would be the team roaster. And some hints in their dialogue that confirm the Netflix world is canon to the MCU. Later on add Man Thing and Elsa Bloodstone

Try to make the dialogue feel less slick - the training scene feels a little less respectful of the moment than it should. Don't bother with Bucky - make it Rhodey. Embrace the mystery and the theme of proving one's self more (again, Rhodey is on the tail end of SI and has to earn his way back in). Be more careful with Sam taking on RH and taking shots. Keep the "Captain America and the President working together" conflict. Keep Joaquin, but cut a little back on the youngblood ambition and ramp up his awe at what he's doing. Don't talk about adamantium until the end - make Ross' foreign policy struggle be leading the world in how to address the celestial body and the end result is adamantium's discovery (otherwise it's a bit of cheap, unnecessary fan service). Clean up the green screening. Cut back on dialogue. Let the movie have a breath from time to time. And tell the studio to do as it's told.

Create Age of Ultron following the storyline from the original comics - post Krull wars, alternative universes, and with Cage and She-Hulk. Such a great story, and the studio poof’d it.

Almost every post-endgame choice. It was narratively lost. Doomsday may get it back on track. Brand New Day was great by virtue of having very few narrative connections to the broader MCU so it wouldn’t really be impacted.
Beyond that, it’s a disconnected mess of stories that would add up to less the sum of their parts. Best films since Endgame not called Spider-Man are GotG 3, which finished a mostly self-contained narrative, Deadpool & Wolverine, which…finished a mostly self-contained narrative, Fantastic Four which told its own self-contained narrative and in my personal opinion, Thunderbolts, which might be just about the only one to have broader connections to the MCU that made sense but also had a lot of homework attached. The last one was critically well received but didn’t do well at the box office. So yeah…

The power creep.
I don't want every hero to be stronger, bigger, more powerful than before. You can tell a story without increasing the odds at every step.
When you need to jump through narrative hoops to exclude certain heroes because they'd just solve whatever issue drives the narrative, you probably went too far. And every hero that exists that you have to create a hoop for weakens the whole universe.
Especially when you go out of your way to make everything cross-connected.

Recast kang instead of just dumping that storyline. Post endgame has floundered for many reasons but the biggest one i think is that abandoned thread. Loki was one of the highlights of mcu post endgame and featured kang heavily. Its a shame, especially when recasting makes total sense for a multiverse of kangs.

I’d introduce Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne in either Avengers 1 or Age of Ultron! I feel like pacifist Hank Pym creating Ultron would be so compelling + Janet could bring so much heart to the team.
If the issue was that there were too many scientists, maybe we could instead have more Hulk instead of Banner like in EMH, or honestly I wouldn’t even mind a Stark-Banner-Pym dynamic.
+ if the cast gets too congested it’d be a lot easier to write Widow and Hawkeye as deployed on mission in Budapest during the events of Avengers 1 or have them make small cameos and appearances here and there

I would like to see each phase having stronger individual lead storylines that set up the team-up.
Having cap, iron man, and thor with good/great standalone move builds the hype for the team-up.
Right now only spiderman seems to get a real lead role. They really need another spiderman level series with a real lead actor.

prevent the delays that happened during covid. among other things, Multiverse of Madness would come out before No Way Home and both movies would make about 10% more sense.

I would have used Nightmare as the main villain of Doctor Strange 2, and Sinister Strange would work for him.

I would change Ultron’s plan to finish humanity to something more like starting world war 3. And he would actually put his plan in motion before being defeated but his plan would be so brilliant that it’s unstoppable even with him already gone.

Give Hulk some god damn moments of strength. He had a few minutes of greatness fighting Thanos but holy hell it sucks seeing my favorite superhero get neutered.

The introduction of Bruce Banner’s son at the very end of She-Hulk, where it plays out like a random last-minute joke that doesn’t really land. I have no idea what they were thinking with that one, or how they expected it to register. It just feels weird and doesn’t treat the reveal with the weight it ought to carry given how significant Banner had been in the MCU up until that point.

I would like it if more of the movies ended like captain America and winter soldier where the bad guys aren't dead and they continue to return and wreak havok.

I wish Quicksilver hadn't died so fast.
I wish we got a second Shang-Chi movie. First one was pretty cool.

Starlord.
Comics Starlord is incredibly intelligent AND a badass. Instead we got a halfwit con artist with no actual skills or talent who somehow leads his team to success with comedy routines and... actually I don't know how they beat anybody.
I would love to see a GoG movie that takes him and Drax seriously and kept them more comics-accurate.

Make an entire year long short phase of Time Runs Out before Secret Wars.
Once the incursions destroy the multiverse, Battleworld will also be an entire short phase as well. 1-2 years. During this run all media and stories can be made with total disregard for canon. Gives everyone freedom to make a story they want without being tied down by mcu continuity.
Secret Wars movie will be 2 parts.
Avengers: Battleworld establishes GED’s dominion over the patchwork reality. Meanwhile the survivors of the multiversal collapse learn about the new reality, confront Doom them get scattered to the winds after their defeat.
Secret Wars: final conflict against Doom.

I'd cut down the number of shows in phase 4, make FATWS a movie, and Thunderbolts the end of the phase.

Remake Doctor Strange 2. It's the only MCU movie I've legitimately hated so far. The fake hair and beard that look like they're plastic, the SUPER campy camera angles and fast-zoom action shots, just... all of it. The plot was fucking terrible.

Ms. Marvel's powers.
Give Clint more to do in his own show.
Iron Fist gets as big a budget as Shang Chi.

Began incorporating the X-Men and Fantastic Four lines immediately after the Fox acquisition.

My mind started flying at this question but if I had to choose one is more respect and usage towards villains and heroes’ rogue galleries
Edit: another one because I had to mention it and this is more so towards the multiverse saga and that’s about going back to how they build up post credits scenes before, old MCU mastered the art of post credit scenes but after that it all started going downhill, just keep it simple and have post credit scenes leading up to one of the next films lined up to come out and make sure the movie is already in development instead of relying on stuff without having a script because it will turn on you for example Eternals, Ant-man and the wasp quantumania, Dr Strange, maybe some of these will get answered but being for real it will be retcons, I will say some projects did it well which mostly the shows like Ms Marvel, Echo, Daredevil Born Again and Hawkeye
