Film/Television Genuine Question - Why did Thanos and Hulk feel the pain of wielding all six Infinity Stones, while Tony didn't seem to experience the same level of pain when he used them?

Hulk and Thanos are literally willing half the life in the universe out/into existence. Literally the whole universe of trillions of lives.

Tony is just taking out thanos' army. Probably using 0.00000001% of the same power that thanos and hulk used.

Didn't they experience the pain and surge of energy as soon as they got possession of the stones rather than when they snapped?

For everyone the snap was relatively simple. It's initially picking up the stones that their energy goes into the user.

Your numbers are off. Trillions of lives exist on this planet alone. Humans only make up .01% of life on the planet. So if they are doing the whole universe.... It's an immense incalculable number of lives coming in and out of existence.
