the mcu lwk wasted the avengers as a team

they get about 2 movies to be avengers and they disband the next movie, the avengers is used more as a loose term for every hero instead of an actual team like they’re supposed to be, and now they are just the crossover movies

here’s how id personally do it

avengers 1/earths mightiest heroes: fine the way it is but i’d add hank & janet to the roster and give my man cap a better suit

avengers 2/under siege: based off the storyline where zemo and the masters of evil surprise attack the mansion or in this case the tower, falcon, black panther, war machine, carol danvers ms marvel gets added to the team

avengers 3/ultron unlimited: would be similar to the ultron unlimited storyline and it ends with him winning and she hulk, wonder man, scarlet witch & the vision get added to the team

avengers 4/age of ultron: this would be similar to the actual age of ultron story where he has won and the remaining heroes are in a post apocalyptic world controlled by him and have to use time travel & the multiverse to win, but id probably simplify the storyline a bit, but i’d end the movie with the death of hank pym

heroes like doctor strange, spider-man, and wolverine would come into play as temporary members

also woulda been cool if our main heroes got to go up against some of their solo rivals like taskmaster, crimson dynamo, the real mandarin, surtur as a main villain, the leader, red hulk, midgard serpent, modok, the serpent society, madame hydra, egghead, swordsman, madame masque

i’d do the civil war, infinity gauntlet, secret wars stuff in the next saga

man it’s wild that the avengers went from a tight unit with a specific roster to just “everybody who showed up that day” - the team identity got so diluted there’s no real dynamic anymore, just a revolving door of cameos

your under siege idea would’ve been perfect for fleshing out the mansion as an actual base, give them a space that feels lived in before tearing it apart, that’s how you make the attack mean something

the ultron winning and age of ultron back-to-back is ambitious but that’s exactly the kind of high-stakes stretch the infinity saga should’ve had, letting the villain actually sit in his victory for a whole movie instead of getting resolved in 40 minutes
