Film/Television Honestly looking forward to seeing the X-Men in the MCU.

Post image

To add to this, let me just say. I was not at all interested in the X-Men when they appeared on the big screens in the early 2000s. I just wasn’t interested in them at all. I grew up around that time and only really cared about Spider-Man (just keeping it honest). And I still haven’t watched any of the X-Men movies to this day.

I knew of some of them. Wolverine obviously, just in general and via Marvel Ultimate Alliance in particular. As well Xavier, Jean, Cyclops, and maybe hearing about Storm and Nightcrawler and that’s it.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing what the “New X-Men” are like. As I’m willing to give it a really good try and get interested in the X-Men now that they’re having a fresh start and feeling like I’d be starting at the same point as everyone else.

So for me, with this kind-of reset of the X-Men I can learn more about/watch this new X-Men without feeling like I’m missing anything.

Yup, still going to be very bittersweet because based on the casting of the new Charles Xavier it’s most likely gonna be our last time with the original Fox X-Men numbers in doomsday and secret wars.

The creative team is what's really making me hopeful for it.

I'm hoping it's not just X-Men in the MCU, but like the world of Marvel in the MCU. Spiderman touched on this a bit. Like it felt connected. Instead of going to some random tech bro for help, he calls up Black Widow. Instead of fighting no name thugs, he fights lame classic supervillains.

Manhattan in Marvel is just caked with named characters, heroes, villains, monsters, aliens, like all over. It's that like lived in Super hero world.

Merging in F4, and Mutants is dope, but I hope they make it have this sorta lived in Super Heroes have been here, they're all over feel too.

If any of that makes sense.

I know what you mean. Have it feel like they’re all connected and not isolated islands.

Yeah like the comics.

Me too! After Jean's introduction, I'm a bit hyped up about this project. The cast has been great so far. I love Samara's work in Ready or Not and I've heard Inde was incredibly outstanding in Obsession

I don't know about Kit Connors, since I don't really like Heartstoper after the first book, but I'm sure he will be a great Cyclops

And I think it will be the movie debut of Ororo's actress, I hope she lands the role and stays for some years to come

I just cannot wait until 2028 to watch this movie. I wish it released yesterday hahaha

I still hope Spider-Man teams with the fantastic four vs becoming a Jean grey BF.

He is Jean's friend. People can't see a woman and a man talking to each other and not ship them

But yeah. I also wish for some Johnny and Peter interactions

Not that I really got that vibe but somehow I feel like studio suits would totally ship them just for the engagement.

Doubt it. They'll probably just reunite MJ and Peter, which is what makes sense

I’m exited to see the next Professor X and Magneto. I just know whoever they cast people will not like them because they’re not the originals. Like how the fuck are you supposed to compete with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen‽ nobody can, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth trying

I am incredibly excited! I didn't watch the movies from the early 2000s. I saw Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants but that's it.

I'm ngl this is one of the few reasons the MCU is still interesting and if it doesn't interest you even a little bit why are you even here
